love the han and luke, do they come with the helmets?
Finally my local asda had some stock in, not much and they were right at the top of the shelf, so Karen had to use a spare lightsabre to knock them down to me, lol, 9 quid each and the 6 inch phasma was seventeen, not a bad haul just glad to finally see stuff out in the wild
Major thanks to Iain Sanderson for helping me acquire this item.
I don't like using the item 'grail' for a modern piece as I've not travailed the misty lagoons of old kingdoms, avoiding seductive wenches and squiffy maidens on my quest.. I saw it on ebay and got someone to buy it for me.. but it is a hard figure to get and being a stingy sod, I decided that the last one I saw about 2 years ago which I lost out, I should not pass this chance up.. this was a BIN and worth it. There is currently a lesser quality one on ebay that came online just after I got this one.. I guess someone smelt the cash. Only realising that only a loon like me would spend cash on an item like this.
The figure itself is common its just the cardback. A canadian starburst Original Trilogy Collection (the packaging makes no mention to prisoner or slave). I have another hard to find slave leia card coming soon.. pictures will arrive when it gets here. Some of the prices of Slave Leia on ebay across all the ranges have sky-rocketed recently. Where I was picking up even the VC figs recently, they are being listed for crazy money. Maybe its to do with this myth that nobody is making slave leia stuff anymore..
yeah.. right. And if anyone is going to SDCC please get me the slave leia itty bitty exclusive for me..
No idea why that decision was made, it does look cool,

However, the other regular cardbacks are great display pieces, as they have movie backdrops

And my ever increasing Rey collectable today comes from Japan
Hello group, I'm not sure if anybody has bought and posted about the 1'6 Hasbro TFA Tie Fighter.
When I came across it on Youtube although my jaw hit the ground the £180 price tag made me hold off but then about two weeks ago I saw that Amazon was selling them for £88 with free delivery so there was no argument!.
I have to say it is huge and where to put/display it is a problem
One thing I noticed is that the box itself was covered in dust so it made me wonder if they've been struggling to sell them.
My intention was to buy it and just store it in the attic for the time being but when it arrived that quickly went out the window!.
The Fighter Pilot figure is a little tricky to get positioned into the seat but with a little patience it does go.
This thing is quite simply awesome and although I haven't looked if they're still available on Amazon for £88 my advice would be to grab one while you can.
I'm personally waiting for it to come down from £88 as i think it'll soon be even cheaper! Also, i thought it was for 3'3/4 black series figures? I'm sure the figs you get in the box with it are only standard size?
great pickup, I've had my eye on one of these for a while now, just got nowhere to display it, lol they are for the six inch figures, check out the reviews on youtube, such a great piece
I cant be arsed to check out the youtube stuff as i trust you guys with my life and thats good enuff for me! I have no interest in the 6 inch range but was gonna get this tie but youve saved me the cash, not that i had any anyways, cheers fellas
gotta love those astromechs! they do look cool, I assume its an ongoing series?, I have a soft spot for the droids, heres my shelf with a couple more loosies added
Also need to rejig my boba focus, running out of room for the two shelves I have on the go
So I've started my modern vintage collection with these 3 cards, sorry about the poor quality, my camera is crap.
I unashamedly love Jar Jar and when I saw a vintage style card with him I had to have it. I'm slowly going to build up on the PM line, I like the film despite the awful acting.
I also purchased some VOTC mocs:
Now with these I could collect the VOTC line, but instead I thought I'd pursue the Lando and Vader cards over the various modern vintage lines. I do dabble with Lando on pure vintage collecting too.
Some great pickups guys, glad a few of us are still picking up modern stuff as well as vintage, just nabbed these 3 on ebay for twenty quid delivered, not bad though the limited edition vader at one of fifty thousand makes me laugh a bit, not limited at all , I've been after the vader for a while so the bonus getting the other two is pretty good
Checked out our local asda and they finally had a black series han in 6 inch scale, great stuff, they had chewie on clearance for 8 quid, which I thought was a bargain
Nice new pick ups Grinchy, particularly like the Back Series Han. I've got a few new TPM VC over the last few weeks, as soon as I pinch a camera off a family member I'll post them up.
Hello everyone --- I'm a new member -- Loving the forum -- Just wanted to share my picture of my part collection of figures that visited the dentist today for their annual checkup
