Interstellar - I'm going on Friday, so I'll keep an open mind. Really looking forward to it now after hearing a few positive reviews. 
Robocop - Thought it was one of the better remakes (Dredd was brilliant remake!)
Ninja Turtles - my 6 year old saw it and loved it too! Michaelangelo is his favourite. Fart jokes etc :lol:
Recommendation:-
Killer Joe - If you like Matthew McConaughey's recent great form watch this. This is where his career resurgence started - you may never eat a KFC drumstick again though!

Finally got round to watching STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS.
left me feeling exactly the same way as the first one - it was ok - some good bits, some bad.
Chris Pine, Karl Urban and Zachary Quinto make a really good trio, there's a spark there. Pine really nails Kirk I think, he was a good choice.
I'm going to be in the minority here but I'm a bit sick of seeing Benedict Cumberbatch everywhere - I just don't get it. Not sure he pulled Kahn off.
I'll give it another 2 viewings before I cement my opinion on it as I think the film deserves that, but I'm totally on the fence at the moment.

Went to see Dracula unbound, worth a watch but nothing earth shattering, also watching the Hobbit Desolation of Smaug extended edition, i am enjoying it, the extended parts work well

Interstellar.. big epic film. SPOILERS : Lots I enjoyed about it, lots annoyed me. Mostly annoyed by thethe earth dying off and humanity about to starve, but because it was localised to one area, as a Brit I didn't feel that it was anything other than some yank farmers wingeing about dust clouds. With such an epic scale to the film, it just appeared misappropriated, which meant the sudden departure of a guy to leave his kids which he may never see again didn't appear as genuine as it wanted to be. From that point, once into space it was a much better cohesive story line. I loved the relativity scenario being played out, the wormhole, the tech, the robot (which spooked me) - all that stuff until the end was fun sci-fi, even the reveal of only ever a PLAN B was excellent, the communication scene was muddled but it reminded me of 2001ASO. The emotional scenes of the messages when time had passed were heartbreaking/tear inducing. The loop of the film was fun.

Transformers 4: Hahah. Love this crap. Lots of massive fights, amazing effects, weird director obsession with teenage girls short skirt, utter nonsense, but thoroughly watchable when not bothered to have to think much.

Not a film as such but the first trailer for Jurrassic World is out and ooooooh. Overall it is well pitched, not too sure how the details revealed turn into a full story but alongside as certain space based franchise continuing I am super psyched for this one...

Saw the Hobbit battle of the five armies last night. If you liked the first two you'll like this one.
Still not sure it needed legolas and the she elf in it, but still a great film.

Loved it! Plenty of Fighting scenes as the title would suggest!
Actually gutted its the final one!
Saw the Star Wars trailer too for the first time in the cinema enviroment too. Awesome 8) 8)

Yeah, loved the last hobbit outing, saw it at the imax on Friday and though it rounded everything off very well.
There is no great revelation in the overall plot, which does take a little bit of a back seat, along with dialogue in favour or a lot of action, and then a bit more action to boot. The finish is great and there are a few lovely touches that pull it into the LoTR trilogy nicely. The direction is perfect and I got swept away in the scope and scale of the final battle.
No more Middle Earth, which is sad, but the exteded offering on BluRay next year will be one to look forward to. But with more Avenger, Dino's and Star Wars hitting the big screen next year I won't feel to sad.
Also watched 22 Jump St - puerile, ridiculous and very funny.

The film sounds ****, but honestly give it a go. It's like Back to the Future but what Marty McFly should have been doing instead of flapping about getting his parents together. Another difference is that it's 1986 and the time machine is a hot tub, not a Delorean And why not? :? :lol:

Went to see Paddington yesterday with my young lad. Anyone with a child I seriously recommend this he say transfixed on it and laughed all the way through. Highly recommend is as a family film.

Went and saw the hobbit last night, excellent, really recommend it. So good to see the trailer for Force Awakens on the big screen too.

watched guardians of the galaxy last night, had been mega hyped so was looking forward to it. i thought it was ok, bit kiddy but it was a 12 i guess, enjoyed it for what it was and the soundtrack was cool but i found it way overated from what others had said about it. 7/10

The new hobbit, i thought it was great, finishes the trilogy of nicely, then we saw Annie, the wife liked it more than me, a modern retelling of the old film, ok i guess.
Saw The Hobbit last night. Really enjoyed it! Some of the Legolas bits (bat riding, jumping up the falling stones etc) were ridiculous though and he looked like he was in a computer game. Really over the top :roll: Otherwise great though and rounded it all off nicely. You've just got to go with the changes, otherwise it would just wind you up- actually liked the Dol Guldur bits.

'Ida' and 'Boyhood' also deserve mentions tho Boyhood is being massively overrated. People are focusing on the fact that the film was made over 10 years with the same cast, an amazing achievement, and not on the fact that the film itself dost really offer much and is filled to the brim with 'coming of age' movie cliches that we've seen a thousand times before. A decent movie but won't deserve the Oscar that it's going to win.

Just seen The Clerks. Thought it was average at best.
Enjoyed oblivion and frozen although frozen is no Toy Story.

Jesus, nothing sobers you up more than the first 20 minutes of this film. It involves the 2 main characters just talking to each other, each joke falling flatter than the next. These movies have to keep the pace up and if theres a duff joke or gag, doesnt matter - you're on to the next bit. With this, within 5 minutes you knew nothing funny was being said so 20 mins later it had pissed us off already.
The script is woeful - so much isn't funny. The funniest line is from the guy in the wheelchair at the science convention so not even delivered by Carrey or Daniels!
Very disappointed. Its probably an even less funny sequel than Anchorman 2 was to Anchorman. :roll:
