Transformers 3 in Digital 3D...

Great fun, dumb loud and a bit long. New lass isn't a patch on Megan Fox though...

Battle Los Angeles...

Like Black Hawk Down meets Aliens. Again good brainless fun with added Michelle Rodriguez :D

true grit. Sorry but thought it was ****
x men first cclass. Brilliant ,is this a 15 as some bad language in it
expendables.turned it of

completely agree with you Jabba on Expendables! Thought it was a right pile of ****. Watched the A-Team the week before and thought it was much, much better than Expendables

Haven't been on this thread in a while.

Recently seen:

Captain America - very, very poor. Beginning isn't bad but turned into a right bag of ****. Don't waste your money. Shame as I bought the Mondo Cap America poster and it arrived today

Super 8 - very good. Good story, typical Abrams (if you liked Cloverfield then you will love this) Have heard it's been labelled "this generations ET" - personally don't think it is that good but still a decent film

Rise of the Planet of the Apes - by far one of the best films i've seen this year. Really well done and a very good story that is actually quite believable

I agree with you on Super 8. Very Good Film but not in the same league as ET. If you like Abrams have you watched Fringe? The best TV series by a mile. Its awesome mate High Recommended !!!!!!!

Went to see the Inbetweeners last night. I don't watch the series, but it was ok.
If you like the series I guess you'll like the film. It's not quite my sense of humour but it was a decent enough way to kill 90 mins. Plot is waffer thin and predictable as hell, but then it's not the kinda film you watch execting massive plot twists!

watched old dogs
from paris with love
toy story 3
all very good films

got knuckle, plant of apes ,super 8 and blitz to watch

watched trading places on tv last night and i noticed the legend that is frank oz playing a cop!

Watched "District 9" again last night. Great film, but impossible to watch without picking up on the, not so subtle, Apartheid undertones!

TV Shows:

Fringe, The Mentalist, Sons of Anarchy,BoardWalk Empire, The Borgias and Dexter.

Movies:

Watched Kill the Irishman last night, really good !!

Hey what do you reckon to Fringe Garry? I think it is ****** awesome and is getting better with every eposiode cant wait to it starts again in january :P

Went to see "Tower heist", actually a lot better than I was expecting. It's not brilliant but it kills 90 mins quickly enough. Sorely lacking in female nudity tho!

Just watched Sucker Punch, well what can I say? very very strange!, the efferts were outstanding & lots of scantily clad fit young lady's with guns, but still a bit of a wiered on & not the most enthralling of films, but something fresh & new, so it gets a partial thumbs up from me, if only for the scantily clad chicks

I saw captain america as well & thought it was ok TBH, not outstanding but a good watch.

Green lantern was pretty good, but a weak ending IMO, like 90% of films these days
