I really should start putting up some of my vintage stuff on here, not done so in a long time since modern and 6th scale has kind of took over a little this year.

I'm having a go at a budget run of reseals that I can do myself for display, anything Hoth related ill try and focus on. Nothing to amazing, ill need a bubble so the hunt continues....

Wanted thingies list here:)

Another bit of Japanese die cast for me. This Vader comes with a glow in the dark saber and shooting bowcaster.

Completes a mini run of rocket firing die cast

Thanks Ian, most unlike me normally around 10 years in the making rather than six months :)

And thanks StarWarsFan too. A relatively easy run and really fun pieces.

I imagine that I haven't posted here for ages - got a little care package in from Neil today and it included this little beauty AtSt Driver with two Han Blasters - which was packed up in the very Star Case that I sold in it about 6 years ago apparently (and for a lot less than I paid for it!)

A special thanks to Michael Sith for the Hoth Han and Snowtrooper, this will give me a head start in doing a run of ESB reseals. The snow trooper will need a bit of work but i'm sure I can get it to a nice displayable standard on a budget. Eventually Ill pick up some nice minty ones, until then this will be a project, and a learning curve.

If anyone has any nice ESB card backs and/or suitable bubbles let me know, Luke, Leia, rebel commander, will be next followed by the AT-AT commander.

Also, I thought id give these DC deflector cases a try. Whilst obviously not as good as acrylic cases they are a really good alternative.

Hey folks, my latest buy was a Luke Skywalker Farmboy. Got I think for reasonable price.

Brown hair or Olive. ?? I know not the dark brown hair. Is the light brown the olive version.

Came with saber what I thought was the farmboy dabsr but was a Bespin.. not sure is original.. looks it compared to the repro one I have , but not quite sure..

Any help would be great on the 2 questions and have also added photos of a few of them together.

Thanks again

Gordon

Have a look here, has a good list of variants. From the images of the sabers, looks ok to me but a better image would confirm it.

I'd like to share the latest addition to my collection, a true 'holy grail' piece for me, and one that has really excited and enthused me. The snowy Hoth scenes in The Empire Strikes Back are among my favourite parts of the saga, and in all of the behind the scenes footage and photos, the distinctive crew jackets really stand out, the bright blue colouring contrasting with the orange and black panels on the arms, and featuring the Star Wars, Empire, and Norwegian Unit patches. I have wanted to own one of these for many years, but always thought it would be an unattainable piece, beyond my wildest dreams.

But this year, the 40th anniversary of Empire, my 50th birthday year, and the year in which I was lucky enough to visit the filming location in Finse, my dream has come true. This is what's known to collectors as an 'executive' crew jacket, and was one of the first run of jackets ordered - almost a prototype, before the larger run of jackets were ordered, and mostly allocated to executives and producers, hence the name. The 'executive' jacket differs from the standard one, having different pockets, additional orange and black panels in the collar, and lacking the white name tag patch. I acquired it directly from the original owner, seen here on location wearing the red hat.

This is now the central piece in my collection, and I'm really delighted to be the custodian of such an iconic and special treasure for a time.

Congratulations Andy, for something to be a grail piece in your collection it must be truly extraordinary.

I hope it fits you although I can't imagine you wearing it out for a night on the town - it looks brand new!
