Hi James,

Great to see you've got a copy of John's book as well - a fun read for sure.

Re those Vader baggies - were they sold to you as Factory sealed Kenner baggies? I've not seen those before - the nearest being ESB-H. Any details would be helpful.

Cheers,
Christian

Thanks for the replys guys, Pomse the book is this one i read the first 40 pages last night andDebers right it is really quite funny

Christian, Not 100% sure on my baggie types, but i got them from this guy who listed them as ESB H baggies, If you have a look at his other auctions he sold another 10 a while back if you need any more pics i can happily provide. the Vaders are stone cold mint and exactly the same variant, Either this guy has found a case of mint vaders and bagged them up or they are good i think the latter. if the seller is a member on here drop me a PM i wouldnt mind adding a couple more of these to my vader focus.

Shawn, Love the Luke Jedi, glad you got one that stayed in one piece, As a kid Jedi was my Star wars era LJ was my fave back then and he is one that is my favourite ROTJ figures now as well, even though i dont collect Jedi stuff.
Vin3po Bad ass MOC
Rob top Logray booty and some lovelly looosies to boot!

I read that book a few years back, was good. I sent it on to a member here I think. More someones personal memoir than detailing any vintage SW nuggets.

Hi James,

I would be surprised if these vaders weren't in original bags but they are not ESB-H nor are they 'Kenner' in origin. I have an ESB-H Vader and I'll endeavour to post a picture of it for comparison sake. The question to ask the seller is where did this batch originate? However, IMHO at that price definitely worth the punt.

Also re the book - John is on RS. Nice guy to have a chat with, username: JBooth.

Cheers,
Christian

hi Christain, Thanks for that i will have to drop John a PM over on RS, I have mailed the seller and will see if i can get any further info from them over the baggies origin.

Holy ****,
What an amazing character focus.
I was thinking of starting up an original Leia focus myself but would need decades to come anywhere near that.
Amazing

Great buys everyone. I love the Collect All 21 book. I need to read it again as its been a few years.

Okay I promised some vintage, so here it goes. Some of you will remember that I've had two of these 65Cs loose their bubbles in shipping to me this year with one of them being a Clipper. I decided to take the risk a 3rd time when one popped up from a seller here in the U.S. This time it made it and the bubble has a great seal. Very happy to have finely landed one.

Hi Shawn, wow that is a very beautiful moc, great to hear the 3rd time was a success

Hey James

Am with Christian on those Vader Baggies with more inspection , the seller has many baggies and bought Loads back in the day as far as I know he does have the Odd fake one in there but most he has is the real deal both Myself and Frank got our c-3po Toy fair baggies from him , His name is Jeff and seems a very nice chap indeed , I am sure Frank Will back me up with this statement.

P.S if it wasn't for the 4 pack SW mailer which is AFA Graded I have on hold I would have gladly purchased Jeff's with no hesitation.

Cheers

Vince

Hi Vince, I have asked the question on where these baggies came from, will pop a thread up on them if I get anything back from Jeff.

Cool cardbacks Lars

Cracking stuff :)

Hi Joe, thanks mate for the kind words :D

Having whined about not having much to post in this thread in the past I can now fill up a whole page !

Thanks to Todd for collecting a lot of these for me and then sending them on and also thanks to Bram for a couple of great pieces

First up - from Bram - is my DSD Proof - I'll be honest, I never really got 'proofs' but in hand it does look pretty cool and like a few other things I have been buying, it is my first one

SAM_6438_zps7c3bb9df.jpg

Continuing the DSD theme, I picked up this little beauty from the US. Again, not massively into AFA graded figure but thought I should own one and this one is a beaut - AFA85 for the DSD is pretty good in my book considering how many beaters I come across

SAM_6439_zps13cb5dc1.jpg

Also from the US, I picked up this nice little combo, a Ledy cardback with the original Paploo - this came from a childhood collection so the figure is genuine - would be worth a fair bit more if he was still carded but looks good none the less !

SAM_6441_zps2713d019.jpg

Also managed to pick up a couple more coins for the collection - still have some easy ones to find but must have around 40 or so now

SAM_6440_zps3bd0a2a9.jpg

Couple of upgrades for my Trilogos - first up is this really cool Made In Macau Hoth Stormtrooper - bubble has a few dents but it is a cracking piece

SAM_6442_zps79e5833b.jpg

Next up, again from Bram is this AT-ST Driver - he is packed with 2 Rebel Blasters so not only has the wrong weapon but two of them ! I have a little side focus on picking up MOCs with the wrong / extra weapons and if I ever get my arse into gear will post up some pictures

SAM_6443_zps966840b1.jpg

Another little side focus I have is the ROTJ Black Clipper stickers - I picked up Grants cardbacks recently and have 3-4 MOCs and can add this one now as well.

SAM_6444_zps31c848ac.jpg

Also from the States came these catalogues / documents - the seller had obviously files them at some point - hence the punch marks but they still look great

SAM_6446_zps8142b289.jpg

Finally, at the bottom of Todd's package came this little beauty - in a straight swap with my Trilogo ERG (opened) I got a bit of Todd art - a Luke X-Wing Pilot with removable helmet - it looks ace

SAM_6445_zpsbf479043.jpg

Hope you like these - after all this expenditure then I am going to have to have the mother of all sales threads so keep an eye out :D

Lovely additions Iain, that DSD Proof looks class I'd love to get a Yoda proof but they cost an arm an a leg.

That Custom LXWP of Todd's looks insane, they really are works of art in their own right.

Great stuff!

Hi Iain, wow what a parcel full of joy! That proofs ace and Todd's rem helm luke x wing is bad ass! I got my Pali Vader this morning, just wanted to say many thanks love him and the rapid and bomb proof postage is always appreciated!

Monster haul Iain! Like the Revenge proof and your Meccano Hoth Trooper :)

Also from the US, I picked up this nice little combo, a Ledy cardback with the original Paploo - this came from a childhood collection so the figure is genuine

Although it's great to have the original figure that came off of that card aren't all Paploo figures MIM? I guess that makes any Paploo a genuine Mexican

Good point Joe - although I thought that there was a different variant packed inside Ledy cards but I could well be wrong

Might well be Iain, I know there are two known variants (orange + brown belt paint) but not sure if anyone ever determined origins for either of them? - http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1066994/
