thanks for the support guys, i was beginning to worry that if I wasnt spending hundreds or had a massive collection that i wouldnt fit in.
None of us can compete with Sith Smith so don't worry about it!!

Thing is though it isn't a competition. Too many collectors i have met collect so they can have a better collection than someone else.

That's the worse way to collect.

The best collections are those that are put together because the items are wanted for themselves, not for rarity or how much they cost.

Everyone on this site seems to collect what they want and what makes them happy, which is the best reason to buy any star wars item.

I know i've got a lot fo stuff, but i still get excited when i see star wars stuff that's in someone else's collection or on a stand at a fair. Even if it's not stuff i want or if it's stuff i've already got.

It's all just so dam cool.

I seriously don't.

My collection looks like nothing compared to some in the UK, let alone worldwide.

i know
i have seen some guys, 1 in uk and at least 1 in the US who have warehouses full of star wars stuff.
why ? i have an office and its all on the walls where i see it every day. what is the point of buying something and sticking it in a like a store shed and never seeing it. its not displayed, just crammed on shelves

thats not collecting for a passion....... they have just got obsessive compulsive disorder or something.

The UK guy is jason joiner I believe. Was in the guiness book of record.

Don't know how much quality is in there though. It's certainly a massive collection.

The US guy could be stephen sansweet.

yes sansweet is the one. i have his book
its a bit out of date but the dollers roughly convert to pounds on most things

I can remember in my early days of collecting, dealers used to just take whatever the price was in dollars and swap the sign for pounds.

Everything was always so much more expensive here than in the US.

Then eBay really kicked in, and that was the end of that.

all good stuff. i too dont have much to really share, but guess again it boils down to one's expectations and how much your finances (or fiancees) can take! these stuff here are all hard core!

great words fellas
i dont care what anyone else has ,just concentrate on my own collection
if i was bothered i would just rob your houses :D :D :D
even gary,s ,though i would proberly take a gun after seeing all the martial arts ,death ,killing stuff he has bought on ebay
crazy ******* ninja :D :D :D

Bollux is in the star wars encyclopedia actually, some kind of droid!

I only realised this the other day, a guy on another forum mentioned bollux as being a character in Han Solo at Stars End.

I just thought you couldn't spell

isnt' there another english one .... stevenson or something

You could be thinking of Jim Stevenson.

A very old school collector. But he's sold a lot of his stuff now.

Im a bit like bollox and can only look in awe at the stuff and prices most of you guys have and pay
I have just got my first last 17 anakin skywalker ,not very glam i know but it only cost me Ã'£6 posted and i just got a minty white hoth trooper complete for Ã'£4.50 :D
I really want a luke stormtrooper and an imperial gunner as i love those figures but with christmas coming and 4 kids and half a zoo to feed i cant justify Ã'£30+ per figure (peanuts i know compared to some of you guys)

I share your pain Wozza!

The only Last 17 I have is Anakin....

Apart from my Luke Stormy thats going to be butchered

You are an evil man  is this to make your han stormtrooper?
dont you feel a bit gutted doing it?
But i must admit that when i eventually get a luke stormtrooper i will have to make a han one as well just to balance it all up

Another 12 back for me:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160052508841&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D%2B160052508841%26fvi%3D1

:P

Wozza I dont feel bad at all, its in a right state mate. I bought it when I didnt really know what i was doing, paid Ã'£30 for it and its rubbish, yellow limbs and some tool painted his head with varnish! It will do him a favour
