Latest Acquisitions

That Luke X Wing is sweeet as Lee. Nice one buddy. 8)

Here is my latest offering. It is a Logo Concept for the Power of the Force line. Before they came up with the name "Power of the Force" they toyed with several other names, one of which was "The Force Forever"

I really love this Force Forever logo. The curved lines look great and it makes you wonder what the power of the force line could have looked like. I believe all of the logos in the set were one of a kinds so that is also very cool.

Ive been waiting a while for this one and so glad its finally arrived.

Chris.

WOW Chris I never knew this even existed! Freakin Stunning Piece. The best piece to appear on the LA thread this yeear for me. A Great Find. Added to my wishlist defo. How common are these? A very interesting piece Indeed. Congratuations 8)

And here she is, a 45b palitoy luke bespin which is easily the rarest of the palitoy variations for this card. Whereas I've seen maybe a dozen 30a over the years, this is the first 45b I've seen.

Here's the front:-

And here's the mirror pic to prove the back is palitoy:-

And here it is completing my run of palitoy luke bespin cardbacks:-

Jason those cardbacks look great all together. Nice find on the 45.

Chris AWESOME concept logo! I have missed a few of these over the years when they have come up and a friend of mine owns one and he keeps telling me to get the next one I see as they are much cooler in person! I think yours is great!

Hi Jason Awesome Piece and it sounds as rare as hens teeth :)

Excuse the newbie question but what is the difference between the 30a and 30b? :)

On luke bespin they have different pictures but that normally isn't the case. The palitoy logo is bigger on the 30b also. You can see a full description and list of differences on the palitoy cardback guide on my signature.

:)

cheers Jason

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I also think its cool. The design is interesting and I Like the sentiment although the force forever doesn't quite have the same catchiness perhaps as power of the force. It looks awesome in person Joe your friend is right. I may have to get it cased up I'm thinking

****ing hell. Chris that's an epic piece.

This thread has got to be the most happening thing in the star wars community. Every freakin day.

I lovez this forum I do.

Or as we say in Wales: oi butt! where 2 is that 2 PAC cd 2?

Wow! More amazingness on SWFUK!

Cracking Palitoy Luke there buddy. Its one of my favourite Pali 20 backs for sure.

Chris I am so glad the logo arrived safe and sound. I must say it looks absolutely awesome, I would love to own any of the lost logo concepts. IMO they are currently massively undervalued and appreciated. Brilliant buy mate. Oh and hell yeah, get that bad bastard cased up buddy- it will look bloody awesome in acrylic dude.
You cant beat unproduced prototypes mate

Glad to see you guys are as enthusiastic with your spendings, that 20 back Palitoy is ****ing ace, told you there is simply no contest IMO, the palitoy 20 & 30b backs are simply way out ahead of the rest in my book.

Chris, that logo is so much nicer than the POTF they went with, I think its stunning & as said such a nice sentiment.

& boy does that Chromed 8D8 look the dogs danglies 8) also love the Cylon helmet - want one!! I also think a DSD would look brilliant done in Chrome, may have to look in to that.

When 2 days pass without (new) notification of an update of this thread in my mailbox, I can be sure that I missed that mail 2-3 days ago. So I come back and find 6 (!!!) pages of pure SWFUK vintage dime piece madness.

Well done everybody.

Nice chrome 8D8.
Nice card back addition.
Nice logo concept.
Nice woolies 8 packs & Made in Macao / Packed in Ireland 3 pack.
Nice everything that I forgot.

Maulster, now where dat foockin' Pac CD at, my nigguh?

Thanks for the comments guys.
Jason, nice addition to the cardback run. Sounds like a tough one to find.
Chris, love that piece. Never seen one before. I think you're right, it'll look real slick mounted in an acrylic case.
Well done everyone. I love this thread :D

I really love these items, the A Wing negative is brilliant- check out the Imp Gunners weapon! This takes me up to five transparencies now, I would like to get more
This preproduction stuff is bloody addictive!

Nice one Ed. Those transparencies are the bomb. I love stuf like this. My fave has to be the Bespin photo. I love the way Lando is waving off a Bespin Security Guard. Hey wait a minute, he shouldnt be flying that. Thats a cloud car pilots job!

Really interesting to see the photo shoot ideas. You will have some fun now trying to find out the context for these pieces. What was the purpose of these shots/ what were they intended to be used on? Detective works starts here.

They look top drawer mate. Well done.

P.S. A very nice touch from a member on here too so well done for that. (You know who you are)

Nice score, Ed. ;)

Any clue on why the A-Wing is a negative and the others are not? This pic of the A-Wing is used on the production box btw.

And your transparencies look bigger than the 35mm slides that are for trade on RS at the moment. What's the story behind yours? (There's some insight on the 35mm slides in the prototype book.)

These items are addictive? You bet ... ;)

I think the seller was very amiable on these

Again my rubbish photos don't do these justice. In person the a wing pilot looks 3D! The bespin shot is a cracker, of all the items I have purchased these are the ones I can't stop looking at. Maybe as they are a little alien to my usual buys?

My guess is these are the original film from the camera, and all future images, including the slides, box and card art were scaled down/up from these?
