Well, I lucked out today! Went to a garage sale earlier which was advertised as a huge vintage sale, but when we got there it was just some guy selling various crap out of his garage. I was disappointed until I found a large box at the end of the driveway...Here's what was inside:

Various parts; Looks like part of the Ewok Glider, Two mikes from the Max Reebo band, the backpack for Removable Limb 3PO, someone's cape/jacket (Maybe Lando? not sure) and what looks like two struts for the Death Star Playset (I say this because there was the big blue top gun from that set in the bag, but it was rather broken).

Another AT-ST, only missing the top gun.

3 Mini-Rigs and another Speederbike; The Shuttle I believe is missing the top wing, the skiff I think is complete as well as the AST-5. Speeder is only missing the back flaps

A beater Vader TIE

and the big prize, an almost complete Y-Wing!

As far as I can tell the Y-Wing is missing one of the engine struts, the two front guns and the two part bomb. The battery compartment looks immaculate so hopefully the electronics work.

Got this all for about $40, and I had to dig through the box to find all the parts (the Y-Wing, Skiff and TIE were taken apart). The guy was trying to entice me to check out his "full collection" he had at some other house, but he was rather creepy and wanted $700+ for the collection, saying this before I had even looked at it. I declined and we left soon afterwards.

But anyway, what do you think?

KesselRunPDX, outstanding! some very cheap items, though if he charged $40 for this lot I would urge you to go check out the rest of his collection no matter how creepy he is, you guys get guns over there so take one with you just in case his creepynes turns out to be serial killer creepynes :lol:

Goodnes only knows what gems he may have, so maybe worth a look, but cracking deal at $40

May well be my last items for this year but I do have a sweet multi-pack en route :mrgreen:

I got my first Graded figure a month back & forgot to post it up here, not that I am that much in to loose in carbonite, but this one is a peach & was a great price that I would have expected to pay for LL Fett loose in this sort of condition.

First ever graded baggies came last week to add to the above dude so he is not longer a lonely carbonite boy, most pleased with these & also at a great price.

& this fellow turned up from a member on here the other day to go toward my side run of 77 back droids (3 down now), the condition bar some yellowing to the bubble is superb, super happy with this fellow.

& yes Dennis I did note that the Jelly instructions had Kenner on them - you taking the piss or what? - don't you know us UK boys are the Palitoy brigade! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Cheers Ham, I was mighty impressed when it turned up as well. Apart from the guy sent it in a jiffy bag. Luckily it was in a star case which had a massive dent in it. Hate to think what it would have been like if it wasnt in the star case.

These arrived today, some very peachy 77 backs an extra snow trooper to display with the laser canon.

Also had these for a little while but a nice refund catalogue and I don't know why but I just had to have this read along ESB Lp, funky!

No worries about the Weequay Trilogo man, just thought I would throw the offer out as he is sitting here unloved & unwanted.

Got a baggie today from ebay but I think it may be a fake bought quite a few figures just to get the one bloody baggie out of the deal 2 DoH! will take a photo tomorrow & post it up see what you guys think

My B-Wing arrived today!

Other than the box and instructions, I believe it's complete. Only one problem, when I deployed the wings to make sure they worked, two of the wing stickers came loose and fluttered onto my desk. Is there a way to put them back on? I know there's repro stickers out there, but so far its only two of them and I'd like to use the originals.

Anyway, just wanted to share!

Use a Glue Stick and lightly apply a thin layer to the back of the sticker. It will apply nicely. Be sure to clean the spot where you are going to apply it.

Good looking ship ,i keep looking at vehicles but i really need to get my figures finished first so i will just stick with my AT AT and boxed Falcon but the first ship i want to get is an Imperial shuttle (can we have a drool smilie ?)

Nice catch on the B-Wing, think this was my favourite fighter out of the lot they made, just so cool how the wings fold out & the cockpit auto corrects, I remember running round whooshing mine about a plenty.

I take it that's your favourite chair then by the looks of it :lol:

Other than getting those stickers back on, I need to figure out what's up with the electronics on it. Far as I can tell there's no corrosion on the contacts, but when I put batteries in it and push the button, there's no noise. I think I saw a post about tightening a screw somewhere on the B-Wing or opening it up and spinning a wheel or something...Any ideas?

Wozza, the Shuttle is definitely on my list!

Frunk, while it is a comfortable chair, I actually don't sit in it too much. It's in the living room of the house I live in. It's technically mine though, since a previous roommate left it here, lol.

And I'll definitely check out the glue stick idea when I get a chance.

I have not posted for quite some time on this forum but after my latest purchase I could not resist. This item is also my first Toltoys peice and although the box is not in the best of condition (still very displayable IMO) the figure is still tied to the card, the accessories are in a sealed bag and it also comes with the little flyer telling you to use talcum powder to put the boots back on. And when I say the figure is mint..........it really is mint! What do you guys reckon?

Iain, thanks mate. I have not really collected much in the last few months as I have spent a small fortune on my family for xmas but that will be soon out of the way. Gonna try to get back into things in the new year - finish off all of my sales, thin my collection and get back to basics - I have decided to sell of all of my Japanese stuff, mini-rigs, ships etc and concentrate soley on the 12" range.

Watch out for a new year (late december!!) sales thread.

Chris - only 3 figures were available in Toltoys box. Luke, Leia and Fett. Think it may be a while before i pick the others up!
As for collecting - intend to get back into it with some real vigour in 2012. Gonna sell off some more stuff and concentrate soley on 12" stuff.
