Wicked VC Jason. Btw what makes it a first shot and how do you know?

The figure lacks copyright information on the back of the legs. Also, the cape is hand cut and is 1/4" shorter than the production version. This particular figure originated from The Earth in 2005. They have been a solid resource for several Vintage first shots. I teetered on getting it graded, but caved at CV and submitted it in person.

Ah right so they're not vintage then?

Thanks for the info dude :)

As some might know, I am not the biggest fan of AFA. However, I think having vintage prototypes graded is acceptable..

brilliant mate...still sealed the weapon with tape though? shocking!

They are vintage Ham.

FIRST SHOTS:

Generally this term is applied to plastic parts made in production molds before actual production begins. Short runs of 100-200 parts were made to test molds, and were shipped to Kenner to be used in a variety of ways, including destroying them to establish stress tolerances. Plastic color was not important and is seldom the color of the final production run. First shots are valued for their scarcity, and also because they exhibit the highest level of detail. The molds were fresh and crisp, and extremel care in their making was exercised by the factories, since these were the parts that Kenner would approve (or not approve).

Unfortunately, AFA "requires" each figure be submitted with a weapon. Tom Derby chipped one in for me, so I would not receive a "Q" rating. Kind of stupid, since it is a first shot. Guess it gives the figure a solid appearance.

Very nice Del and double stemmed to boot 8)

Yes, I agree, it's fantastic Del. And totally in line with all the other outstanding ESB MOCs you have bought the last few months. Well done.

Here's my latest, original LL Scout and LL Blaster (thanks Sacko for the Blaster) ;-)

The cardback has sticky label on front and for the back ACTUALLY printed on the carton card for accuracy :)

YUP, after alot of winging to Sacko on TIG he eventually let it go along with an overstock LL Scout head ;-) Persistance pays off! :D
