agreed. i've been using the peroxide technique to turn a 12" brown as chewbacca stormtrooper to something pretty respectable, but that's for my own collection...not to sell. i have seen a transformers ratchet undergo the technique and that has metal parts with no bad effect. not sure i would risk it mindtheslider said:Maulster79 said:really?

DON'T put a die-cast vehicle in Hydrogen Peroxide! Yes, it will make the yellow leave the plastic but it will **** up the paint work on the metal. The whole 'whitening' thing divides people in the hobby, but as long as it's for your own collection and not to sell then I don't see a problem with it!
BTW nice Y-Wing, I love all the die casts!
