Latest Acquisitions

Collected these over the last month or so.

DSD - this was bought as a completely destroyed card with the original bubble. I have replaced the whole bubble section (obviously) and also printed the entire lower section of the 4-LOM offer on the back. The card was still there but the print torn off. Getting the scale right from a template is fairly easy, but matching the colour to graft pieces on is nigh on impossible. I don't mind though. It looks nicer than the picture makes out. Ok for a first effort. One thing i'll do differently next time is to double sided tape the bubble on. Gluing a bubble onto a printed cardback makes the ink run. Any tips PM me

Greedo - pop is missing but the rest is original. Love this as it's one of my grail pieces :D

Rebel Commander - Palitoy reseal. Haven't done anything other than stick the bubble back

Tusken Raider - pop has been seperated from the cardback leaving no hole on the front. Gaffi stick is missing. Got this for a steal so well pleased with it.

Last up - Bespin Han. Bought on here as a beater/reseal. It's beat up but I still really like this one.

Awesome skills there, Barry- they all look superb, the DSD looks especially stunning. And beat up or not, your Han Bespin is a cracker- love it. Can't wait to see what you'll do with the Palitoy AT-AT Driver... :D

Baggie madness continues,

Lumat well hard to find I know, ev and anmanaman were on my hunting list. A rare hard to find Sw pin head Han, a popy r5 and a probot Baggie. The one I most chuffed with is the no smile lando. Taken me a year to track that down. Just 3 more to go and all figures and variants bagged

Good to be back on the scene

Wow Djbighair, cool Popy and a lot of cool figures in baggies  can all 96 figures be found in baggies ?

Awesome pickup guys. I check this thread often and amazed by it all.

Now here's something to blow everything out of the water courtesy of Frunkster's better half. I've two of these now and the detail on the first was awesome. This one .... unbelievable! I don't think the pics will do it justice but here it is in it's glory.

Shame about the postage damage but I'll get a frame with corner pieces to cover it. I am ecstatic with this. R5 rocks!
Frank may be better to discuss the process but it's a form of pyro art (all done freehand, no templates.) I couldn't even begin to guess how one goes about creating something like this.

Aha! So Frank's good lady also created his avatar? This is an awesome piece of art, is it on marble or something similar? I've been painting for 30-odd years and I know nothing about pyro-art... I'm intrigued. Richard, would you take a photo of your first artwork when you get chance? I'd love to see it :D

Frank! Explain this process, please!

It's on wood. And believe me you don't want to see my Art. Think of drawing with your opposite hand when you were 5 and you'll get the idea.
On wood? So I'm guessing it's a bit like branding with a hot implement... fascinating stuff. And I'm sure your own artwork is top grade, but I did mean it would be great to see the first piece you got from Frank's better half

Haven't posted much on here for a while as I've been too busy moving house and getting things sorted, so here are a few things I've got over the past few weeks.

First off Han courtesy of Mumbo - this one completes my first 12 (well 21 actually) :D

Next a Hammerhead 21 back from Dennis (Stargeezer) which I had him send to the AFA for me, coming back with an overall 80 (80-85-85) really happy with this one

Next a Tie-Fighter Pilot which I bought from ebay (a collector of 20 years  ) not too impressed to find this was a reseal even though I specifically asked the question :( not sure what to do with this one...

A full set of UK Series 1 Topps Star Wars cards (I sold my almost complete set years ago and really wanted to get these again) sadly the bubblegum smell I remember as a kid has completely gone from these...

Wow another Ree-Yees, moc Spookedhippie

You must have them all now or is there still more for you to hunt ?

Pomse there is always more... Unfortunately with me buying the ex out of the house has meant my funds are rather dry at the moment to hunt
