Lets say though if two members here wanted same items and knew eachother well, there might be a bit of rivalry over certain item but I doubt there would be last second stitching up

I was winning an auction and only bidder all ****ing week of a figure and then with less than a minute to go some **** places a bid higher than mine and I had no chance, when i checked who out bid me it was a **** from an action man forum i belong too, now if he had bid earlier in the week or something then fair enough but when this guy has spoken with me before its not ****ING on (sour grapes is what i call it) but anyway i am going to be checking on things he wants in future and im going to make sure i outbid him on something for sweet revenge

on another note we all do it bidding at last few secs, i just felt like posting this guy was a **** and if not for ebays new system ****ing me up

atleast next time i bid on something i will just bid the highest i will go to and hope for the best

i have watched about ten episodes of tales of the unexpected the last 2 days , they use to be goode but now very dated

Sniping someone, especially in the last few seconds, is all part and parcel of Ebay. Like it or not. Let's be honest we have all done it at one point or other, and we've all had it done to us.
When it's an item two people are after and they both know the other wants it, it's a question of etiquette. If, as in your case, one person has been winning all week, you'd expect the other person to do the decent thing and stand aside.
Clearly this didn't happen, so your just right in being pissed off Lee!
Have you considered emailing him and asking WTF he was playing at?

BTW, it wasn't me changed your post (gave that up a LONG time ago).

If I really want an item I will bid as much as I think it's worth in the last seconds regardless of who else has bid !! :twisted:

I don't believe in bidding etiquette for collectables and wouldn't expect another variant collector to not bid on something just because I am winning it at one stage !! :lol:

I generally snipe, as it just means I might pay less, or I don't get caught up in a bidding war I can't afford. If I saw a forum member had already bid I would have to think twice about bidding, if it was a very rare item then let the highest bidder win. If not, or if i knew it was something someone else really wanted, I would cancel my snipe.

eagle eyes are my favourite too, it was boxed there are otherss on ebay but boxes are in **** condition

last week i was watching a original frogman outfit that was in so so condition it was bid up to 100 pound with an hour to go, whenh i checked how much the auction finished at it went for a whopping 800 pounds!

its true about ppl having more money than sense.... just wish i did instead of being half skint most of time
