holy grail

Just do what Weasel does, perform sexual favours for a few grannies.
He reckons it's just like putting your end in a warm jar of mayonnaise. If you can live with that, you're good to go.
Just think of the collection you could put together, and it's better than losing an organ.

He replied...
He would sell it if the offer was good enough.....
I'm on the fence....Should I or should I not...
The pieces I have that I really care about can easily be found for a decent price though....

And just one more question, do all the Ledy cards have the little hole on the back of the card in the middle of the bubble?
I've seen most have the hole, but his doesn't though...

Rooting for you m8, sadly I can't help with the hole unless unless its attached to something more feminine, sure someone one more LL tuned will chime in b4 to long though, always best to be sure b4 committing especially on such a high value item.

I do hope you get it.

Hi Tundra
Not all MIM has that hole , I had a rotj Nien numb MIM that did not have the hole . Good luck on getting the moc mate .

The hole in the back of the card is fairly common on MIM carded figs but as Soren says it doesnt occur on all. I would not let the hole put you off as I dont see this being an issue.

Whether or not you decide to sell everything off to fund it is another matter. I will speak from my own experience and say that I would go for it. If the things you are selling can easily be replaced and you feel really strongly about this piece then go for it. I did the same thing a while back and havent looked back. Joe is right, sometimes less is more.

Have a real good think about it buddy. Dont rush into it and just do what you feel is right for you and what you want to achieve.

Or you could make a payment plan with the seller . I had a look at your limelight here on the site . Most of the stuff you have would not be a problem picking up agian . If you even want to go the same way .

You know once you start picking up more rare and expencive stuff . Normal evryday moc's and lose figz ,you don't send them many thoughts . ( Speaking from my own experince )

But the Lili Ledy moc are VERY nice . And would make a great center piece in your future collection .

Keep us posted what you do :)

Tundra,

I have had the same dilemma- first it was for the tri logo Jawa I bought last year. I decided to sell off a big chunk of Kenner ROTJ and ESB cards to fund it (about 30-40 MOCs). I wasn't 100% sure, but I decided, hey, you can pick up ESB and Jedi cards every day of the week on ebay/ forums. I took the plunge and did it, I haven't regretted the choice I made for a second. It dramatically reduced the quantity of my collection, but massively improved the quality. It is sat on a shelf on my stairs and every time I walk down the stairs I genuinely smile at it

I have just sold off another batch of my collection- MOCs, POTF and a VC Jawa to fund another "grail". Time will tell if I regret it. The only ones I already miss are my POTF figures. In all likelihood I will pick these up again and have the thrill of the chase to once again complete my loose collection.
If anything selling items off does help you decide what you truly value in your collection.

So, for example, if a GDE logo'd Jawa came up for sale tomorrow, would I sell off the rest of my loose run and some more MOCs? Hell yes.

It really is a personal choice, only you can make it. A word of warning, Soren is bang on the money- once you start picking up high end items it does make the "ordinary" seem exactly that. Ordinary.

Good luck and I will cross my fingers for you

Tundra. Good luck on your mission for the Stormie buddy.
I've never been in this position, but like the others say, if a grail piece came up for sale, I think I'd sell a load of items to raise the money for it. Over time, you can probably replace most of them. And half the fun is finding them !
Let us know how you get one. :D

Cheers guys, I offered $950 for it...
He just sent me some better pics and told me I was way off on my offer though....(he told me what he wanted, and safe to say, I went  )
So I'm not gonna go for it, but I have a spare grailish item I'll get instead, almost just as cool, but way cheaper.

Thanks Frank, he wanted over the 1K mark....in British pounds, I just can't do that though.
But the best of luck to him, it is a quality piece.
My grailish item will pop up in the LA thread soon enough though. ;)
