So, I was at Stratford-upon-Avon yesterday where they have a nice antiques center with about 20 or so little stalls. One of them just so happens to be selling a few loose SW figures. So I take a look around and saw that he had a loose Chewie for sale for a whooping £35! I asked him why so much on the Chewie figure? His response was, 'Well, that the really rare green limb Chewie figure, you don't see many of them around!' I then tried schooling him about it by saying, 'In my opinion, it's just discolored plastic due to ageing, and isn't rare or close to be worth £35.' He then accused me of using dirty tactics of trying to haggle the price down so I could resell it on eBay for much more... So where do people stand on the green limb Chewie figure?

Loads of threads on this and on RS

General opinion is discolouration as you say not a variant.

I have one myself and a stormy with pinkish limbs.

I still have my original childhood one and his limbs have gone green over the years.

Definitely discolouration imho.

Plastic degrading. Same myth as the blue smock/purple smock ugnaught...fading on that one (but yet people still grasp at this as being real)

discolouration I would say just like Dengar with Green body.

About Ugnaught purple/blue smock I still think it is not fading :?

It's fading ...but some people will not let the dream die.
