Forum member: SKYLINE......avoid

FFS, not to rub salt into wounds but do NOT pay via gift the first time you deal with someone. Pay the 4% extra to cover your arse.

Beat me to it.

FFS guys a little common sense with new members, you don't know who they are and neither does anyone else on here. Would hand over cash to a stranger on the street who offered you SW stuff!? Would you ****! If you're going to send money to a newbie on here DON'T GIFT IT!!

And 'yes' this guy does look he has a questionable idea on how long is acceptable to post items etc. Maybe best avoided guys!

you can in fact reverse the charge from your bank you may want to check with them and get them to reverse it.

Whilst this could work, it may only be temporary. By gifting the money, you can't really argue that you haven't recieved what you paid for. Paypal has carried out its job and taken funds from your account/card and 'gifted' them to the recipient. But if you don't hear anything, no harm in contacting your bank anyway.

Hopefully it wasn't too much you spent as it doesn't sound good mate.

I did eventually get a refund from this guy after he double sold an item and took my money for it.
The funds took a while to come through though as he didn't have enough in his account to cover the £20 he owed me

Hope it sorts itself out for you, I was warned about this guy by another member who had problems dealing with him on BFTB.
Do not ever buy anything from this seller was the warning I got from them....

Can't people like this be banished from the forum?

I think it's been said but personally i wouldn't buy from someone who only has a few posts. It's the same with Ebay. We should be able to trust people but sellers like this guy test that, which is a shame.

Hope you get it sorted. If Skyline comes through for you i'm sure everything can be forgiven just as long as he learns from this. It's not right to screw people about.

To be honest, it is not like this guy has ever really been a 'member ' of this forum - he came on to peddle some stuff - sold me some repos, sold Pigcity something he'd sold to someone else and then sent out the rest of his packages about 20 days after payment

He then posted another sales thread and it looks like the stuff he sold on that has not arrived either

Yes, he can be banned, but us mods have discussed it and we don't want to kick him off and possibly cut off any communications with anyone who is/has done a deal with him.

We always warn people when dealing with new members use some common sense. Make sure you get lots of pictures up front so you know the seller has the item, make sure you explain to them how you want the item posted, make sure you get it sent insured/tracked, DON'T SEND MONEY "GIFT" and or get an invoice etc.

ALWAYS assume a new member will be out to scam you or will be a retard. That way you limit your exposure. Once they establish a good reputation on here, easily checked on their feedback thread, then by all means relax a little.
Though I would always advise getting plenty of pictures, and if the item is of any serious value get it sent fully insured.

Good day Folks......So....Mr.Daniel Gray decided to respond to an email I sent mentioning legal action, funny that........basically he said...." I haven't stolen anything, I sent your items, I have proof of postage!" blah blah.....so the plot thickens......
I have replied looking for details of the postage etc.....also asked why he even sent them now after I had looked for a refund....
Awaiting a reply.....

To say I'm pissed is understated.....

Damn this guy should not be selling anything

Don't think we'll see him around here again - in the words of the great George Bush Jnr

He COULD have just shown you the proof of postage, that might have been a wee tad simpler! Lol

Ps you could also give him a friendly lesson in basic spelling and grammar by explaining the differences between "There" and "their" along with "your" and "you're". Just a thought! Lol
