UPDATE: I have edited this post and removed the Warning about fees being charged for pre- 1st Oct listings as it has now been confirmed that these will also NOT incur a fee (UK to UK, not sure about International sales)

Just a heads up to tell everyone that it is now FREE to sell on Evilbay - apart from motors, I think for PRIVATE Sellers.
You can list up to 300 items per month for free - anything over 300 you pay 35p for (additional costs for upgrades etc).

This is for selling items in the UK and TO the UK ONLY
There are still fees for sending Internationally, for using upgrades etc.

Look here for any updates:

Hope this helps :)

Apparently a 'small' buyers fee will be introduced early next year though
Yeah, I saw that in the ebay community threads - not good :(

There are also some other t&c's with this change - not had time to check them all out yet but one of them is that the Free to Sell is just for UK to UK sales - you have to pay extra for International sales, additional extras etc.

I didn't get the message about the change from Ebay until yesterday afternoon, so was unsure about fees still being charged for current listings done prior to 1st October 2024.
It seems that they will also be FREE (UK to UK) too. Alot of people (myself included) ended their listings and re-listed 'just in case'.

Ebay are getting desperate. It's their own fault for pissing around when they already had a great selling platform.

Just to back this up, I have just sold something that I listed 20 days ago and was not charged any fees.
I'd already mentioned to the OP that there were no fees for existing listings, sadly they wanted to scaremonger. I then provided evidence and they accepted the facts.
