For those of you not on Facebook, have a look at this.

They bulk if the items are not factory sealed but are open/unused which still makes them very desirable as these items seldom come up for sale and collectors tend to be focussing on them a lot more now.

It will be very interesting to see what prices they go for :?:

Just had a look at the price list on FB and the majority of MOC bubbles aren't sealed. Gutted. Why would someone slice open one side of a bubble and leave the rest sealed? V odd!

He was a child when he got them. He brought them from the store, carefully sliced the bubbles in 1982 ish, played with the toys but kept the cards and bubbles.

Big fat slice of history there.

Fantastic collection, just wondering what people should do if they're interested in an item?

Cheers for that and I'm new to FB so I put what I'm after in the reply section after the price list, is that the right place?

Incredible foresight for a child. I wasn't aloud a Stanley knife at that age!! :D

Does it not seem a little suss that he has a mix of kenner and Palitoy if it's exclusively a childhood collection? E.g. land of the jawas

No

Sorry, maybe I should have been a bit clearer. From my memory as a kid, there was very little of the Kenner stuff available in Ireland at least (and I walways assumed UK) - that changed a bit by the time Rotj rolled around but still rare. My own dad was / is from the states so he used to bring back things at xmas to me (in Ireland) that no-one else had over here - again very much the exception. It just seems to be a remarkable coincidence that the person who has kept all their stuff boxed since they were a kid also had access to Kenner toys not available to the vast majority of kids in Ireland and the UK at the same time.

Or is my understanding of (non)availability of Anh / ESB Kenner toys in the UK / Ireland totally wrong?
