Just wanted to echo what everyone else has said - great event - surely the best even in the UK (probably Europe) for vintage goodness - well organised by Mr Tree and attended by a whole host of great people (and a lot of characters!)

Was great to meet the people that I haven't met before and I really appreciate all of those who parted with their hard earned for a few bits and pieces from my stall(s)

I can only see this going from strength to strength with the support of the forum and all of the hard work from Dave & the team

Well done Dave, on yet another fantastic FF event, it always feels like Christmas Day being surrounded by all that amazing vintage Star Wars, not to mention meeting up with so many of the SWFUK family!

A big thank you to everyone that bought from us, as well as all the other guys who sold me the great haul I brought home with me.

Although, for the very first time, I actually sold slightly more than I spent!!

Already counting the days to next one in December!

All the best

Really enjoyed the weekend. Great to meet so many forum characters.

Thanks to Kayleigh and Chris from Astons who did an interview (against a bloomin' hand dryer!!!), Fuzzybuzzytoys, Palitoy Junky and Hothrebel too.. all smashing people and a pleasure to spend some time with you all.

Images in my head from the movie from Maulster 79's laptop..

Dave Tree is a legend.

I'm not sure it gets better than that for vintage collecting nostalgia - a superb event. Shed a few pounds in currency terms and sweat (the latter not a bad thing...) and met up with the usual motley crew as well as meeting some new people (especially Nick (Hothrebel), James M and Savory bros despite Dan not being a SW collector... yet! and many others) which is always the best part of the hobby. Also a big shout out to all the effort put into the presentations - Bruno was transfixed - including the Chive Cast boys - great effort and hopefully the recordings will be nice and clear.

Utterly shattered come Sunday evening, guts all over the place from the super-hot Madras (whoever had my Lamb one I'd like to know if you survived and did Richard really pay £16.50 for a plain omelette & 1 pint?), still in awe of Iain's sales skills (I almost found myself buying an acrylic case  ), Dave Tree's tireless efforts in the name of vintage, Grant's continuing pathway to self-destruction (take it easy buddy!) and last but not least a massive THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support GW.

It's been emotional - back to the day job.

Regards,
Christian

What a great Farthest From. Drive back was ****. How long do they intend to keep that 50mph limit up around Birmingham? And as for Kiderminster. WTF! Anyway, that journey did not spoil my weekend :)

To really top it off there was a nice pile of birthday presents from the wife when I got home :D

Here's a few photos of the various bits for sale. Some real gems (mostly bought by Jez  )

Spent way too much money and drank way too much beef,

this sums up the weekend for.

Many thanks to those of you that made it down. For those that are regulars, hope you enjoyed it as much as ever and for new friends, I hope you keep coming back ... for those yet to come, stop finding excuses not to come and just do it :)

I thoroughly pooped, was fun, lets do it again .... 13th and 14th of December :)

Credit to Dave for organising another fantastic event.

Great to meet loads of new members in person.

We turned up nice and early to get loads of podcasting stuff done, then proceeded to start drinking at 4:30. Didn't get to sleep until 2:30 ish because grant "the train" maulster seemed determined to have intimate relations with something before he passed out and then proceeded to put the best of the ****ing muppets on at 7am the following morning.

How rich recovered to do his panel I don't know.

Loads of vintage available. Iain and Dave Scotty boy now officially own my soul, but I got some lovely moc's in return.

Can't wait till the next one.

I like how the lady on the right is posing too. Is she thinking how can I get that one at the end out of his lovely pink shorts?

And then that's when I found a job load of Palitoy 12 back DT Luke's in the back of a dumpster. True story.

Jason/ Barry, would you mind if I use some of the images for the facebook page please?

No worries Dave. Use 'em. I think between us we covered the lot. You stopped me taking photos in the toilet though
