$25,000 for 3 lightsabres!

That's big silly money. I think that guy does have some really nice proto pieces. That avatar I think is one of his.

Brian's toys sold a loose DT Vader AFA 90 for $5000 just before Christmas plus the going rate for a loose DT Ben AFA 85 is around $5000 so the prices are reasonable but its still alot to drop on 3 loose figures. Just my humble opinion but i suppose these are very difficult to come by... If I was a millionaire i would buy them.

Grant.

Is it the AFA grade making these figures so highly priced then? I'm sure i've seen loose Bens between 1k-2k in the last year or 2 (ungraded).

And yeah I'm pretty sure Chris has a Julpa.

Is there anyone out there willing to drop large sums of cash on DT figures with out them being graded or authenticated at least. Its alot of cash to lose if the saber turns out t be fake. :D

Would I be a minority then wanting to look for an ungraded sabre? Not that I am looking, and not that I am a DT expert either. I was under the impression that original DT's have marked hilts with lettering and Revalveit's are either blank or have "valve" on the hilt, also the colour of the originals looks harder to reproduce, if you look at valves they are fresh looking blue/red plastic, the originals have an old washed out colour to them.

Also if I was going to buy an ungraded one I would make sure the seller has great feedback and would sell it to me under the basis that I would send it off myself for grading and if it failed I would get a refund. That way if the seller is legit he has nothing to worry about.

an extra score of 5 on the AFA scale worth $5000 to you?

Would these be the carded DTs that were taked from their cardbacks for U grading anyone, i'm presuming they are because of the 90+ scale, can someone enlighten me?

100% agree mate, why drop extra cash for a plastic coffin? As long as you can guarentee they are kosher I don`t see the point.

Adam first off. I wouldnt spend $1000 on a loose DT far less $5000 and secondly those are not the Ugrade examples. :D

How does a loose figure achieve a grade of 90 and 95 then? I thought they had to be taken from cardback to get such high grades.

Maybe they were painted very nicely to begin with etc. Who knows. Im sure there are 95 graded figures of all sorts out there. I also think that some people tend to send very nice condition pieces in for grading as well as average stuff. The graded examples of these figures will only be a small fraction of what is really out there im sure because only a small number of collectors go down the graded route.

Jesus didn't see the U grade part. So these are all hacked out of bags or cards
