eBay seller sent me a repro

I've had enough of eBay repro **** now, I'm not buying anything with weapons from there now, unless I know the person or I'm 110% sure it's real.

Pisses me off when sellers say "it comes with a quality reproduction weapon" or they class a figure as complete but then go on to say it comes with a repro weapon, if it comes with a repro weapon, it's not ****ing complete!

Messaged them twice now, going to open a case tomorrow and destroy their 100% feedback.

Looked at their completed listings and they have listed several figures with 'original' weapons and they are all repro except for amanamans staff which looks real, although they did state that the scratches to the skulls on the staff were 'part of the design'!

It bollocks mate :x there are plenty of trusted sellers on ebay but you cant beat SWFUK for vintage Star Wars :D

Open that case :!:

That's one of the worst repro pieces of crap I've seen in a while Marcus

Get that case open

I've never seen one like it before, it's literally a hollow lightsaber with blue paint squirted into it! I think they are going to use the fact that it floats as a defence! Lol

I will, they have 100% feedback atm. I have opened a case so will wait for that, I've asked for £5 back which I think is quite generous, if they leave it to eBay to decide the case as opposed to doing the right thing and settling, I will neg them.

He turned down giving me £5 back, so I'm going to let eBay decide it. He did offer a full refund which included return postage, but then I have to get to the post office and wait for 30 mins, and for the money that's involved it's just not worth the hassle.

If it was me, I would of paid the £5 and avoided being marked down and getting my first ever negative feedback.

If it were just my item that was repro I may of been a bit more forgiving, but all except one auction had repro's and he listed them as original.

If it were me I would have taken the refund option rather than messing about with a partial refund, you could have still left them a neg or neutral for selling you a repro but now your stuck with it :P and what's wrong with a nice stroll in the sunshine stretching those legs  although if your heading to the Stortford town centre PO then I can understand not wanting the hassle, have been stuck in there a few times myself :|

Ebay may well advice you to return it for a full refund anyway......

Tbh I couldn't give a toss about the money, I'm just annoyed that he listed it as genuine and it wasn't, and all his previous weapons were listed as genuine but you can tell they are repro. I will probably just end the case and leave a neg for selling me a repro. Hopefully he will word his auctions better from now on.

I don't think this is good enough considering he 100% knows this is repro!

also he has made all of his feedback private, I'm yet to leave feedback, think this has decided it for me.

Definitely neg him. He's really shown his colours with that listing, if he hadn't already done so.

Pete,

I very very clearly state:

****No guarantees at all can be made over the weapon.****

Is this not clear enough? It seems very very clear to me, and if anyone wants to ask a question about the listing, they are very welcome to do so. I think this is just a difference of opinion on semantics, which does not make yours, or my own opinion right. They are just opinions....

I think I am being very clear...

I don't understand the point about private listings.... Is this a setting I can change? Ideally I would like buyers to see reviews from other buyers and show the actual item I have sold. But I don't know if this is possible...

We going out now to watch The Tour, but I can reply to anyone's response either tonight (although I will be very very drunk) or tomorrow...

Thank you

Yes, i read that bollocks line. That's what promoted my post. **** like that is the tagline of every "tricky dicky" repro pedlar on ebay.
Do you know the weapon to be repro?
If so then why haven't you just said so in the listing? Why withhold truth. Don't you feel dishonest doing so?
It is my "opinion" that intentionally withholding information about the item being sold and using vague wording/adding a disclaimer instead of just saying that the weapon is reproduction to me is dishonest. And you know it is.

It's not clear since you know full well that it's a repro, I still haven't left feedback yet as I thought I'd see how you listed stuff after this first blew up, pretty obvious you don't want to admit it's a blatent repro fake piece of crap in the auction as you know you will get less for it.
