Hi,

while cleaning out my basement, I rediscovered my old Star Wars figures from the early eighties (including all the original weapons and the cardbacks). I also found several old Kenner catalogues in almost perfect condition. Can someone give me some information about the value of these items?

Thanks in advance,
Oliver

Here are some pictures of the figures:

Any ideas about value? (I want to sell all items)

Hi there

That's a nice looking collection there and the figures look OK.

I would be very interested in making you an offer for all of the figures so perhaps I should leave someone else to value them for you. With regards to the catalogues, this is not really my thing but I would think the fact that they are in German would actually make them more collectable.

I will send you over a PM shortly.

Cheers
Iain

Hi there! :) Welcome to the Forum! Thats a very nice collection! I would leave the valueing to a few of the other guys but I would say some of those catolgues are very collectable! Look forward to see pics of the card backs tonight! :) Liam

I would also like to put my name down as I am interested in at least 3 maybe 4 loose figures & one of the catalogues, not sure on value of the loose as they have the card-backs & I presume this will affect the value.

But good condition loose figures as a rule can be from as little as £3 to as much as £20 depending on the condition & rarity.

I agree with Frank- figures are on average £5 each- nothing particularly rare there.

The catalogues are, however, interesting. I would try and research them to the best of your ability. Paper ephemera can be worth big bucks.
If it turns out they aren't worth lots I would be interested in a couple for my collection.
Good luck!!

Looks like this guy brought the catologs of ebay - http://www.ebay.de/itm/Kenner-Kataloge-80er-/300646420001?pt=Science_Fiction&hash=item45ffec4e21#ht_500wt_1413

not from his "basement"!

interesting thought ... too bad that this is my initial auction I started and canceled after realizing that the description of the items was not correct (I described them as being in a bad condition which they are *not*)

I have neither bought them on ebay nor sold them yet.

Ok. A bit coincedential that the item finished on the same day you joined this forum and has pictures of the same catolags in this thread? :?

I suppose in fairness Liam if he joined the same day that the auction ended then it is likely then if he had bought them then they had not arrived.

I think that some people can get over cynical in the hobby (god knows there are enough idiots out there who don't help this view) but I think we should definitely give the benefit of the doubt were we can

Ok I see your point Iain. Many people call me cynical sometimes!  Sorry if I caused any offence. :)

I think it is too much reading of RS !!
