If bids go up more, then actually the cardback will be more valuable than the Jawa. Jawa is £400, so anything on top of that is purely for the back - which considering its a standard US cardback with Italian sticker that sold in UK - makes it a seriously crazy price someones paying for the back of it.

Collectors eh? Crazy people, the lot of them.

Interestingly it was also purchased in the UK.

Personally I think it's becoming more and more plausible that there were a bunch of these floating around in the supply chain after VC was pulled and replaced with the cloth cape. It's not out of the question that some distributers or wholesalers got hold of them and sold them on, although quite how they got an Italian sticker and ended up in the UK is a bit of a mystery.

If it is then someone's affixed a fresh bubble on it.
The sticker on the back is aligned properly with no creases or corner damage.

Hi, I realise that this may seem contentious but I have an item that seems identical to this. It is a vinyl Cape Jawa on 12 back cardstock with a squared off Harbert 'empire' sticker.
I don't know anything of it's history as I bought it at a boot sale.
I have just read this thread and it seems that there is no real consensus as to whether this was real or not but I wondered whether there is any further news since then?
It is in a fine condition so far as I can tell.
