Euro-h, a very very rare & stupidly fragile baggie put out by meccano, the only baggie type to sport a red text, ony a handful of examples have ever surfaced assumed due to the fragile nature of them, they have to be the poorest quality baggies out there, very thin plastic & poor font quality, but 100% authentic

SW-e - Please note that the hemmerhead has vertical text which the other 3 creatures do not, only the 4 creatures were issued in this baggie type (15 & 16 packs)

SW-g & one of only 2 figures ever to be put out in this baggie type, the other being the Luke Farm Boy in the EB sets in both DT & regular saber versions ,the hammerhead is exclusive the the sears Canadian set in this baggie type as far as we are aware

Han Solo First Issue Pin/Fat Head

Palitoy-a pin Head & the rarest of all the pin head baggies, of which none are easy to find,only 2 maybe 3 confirmed examples have been seen of this baggie

Palitoy-h (LIKE) but taped & double taped at that (palitoy-h is Heat sealed) But again can not be confirmed as it is double taped, could easily be a factory double tape, but can not be confirmed as such, so regard this one as in question & as a fake till another example can be found

Euro-g - Previously considered to be ESB-h, but under further investigation along with a few similar baggies which I am convinced are actually a new (unclassified to date EDIT - Now Classified) baggie type with euro origins, note how small the bag is compared to the normal ESB-h style with the figure diagonally place on the bag due to the baggie dimensions & all figures found in this baggie type have Euro coos

Euro-f / Meccano (weapons error) - please note this is a no text baggie type & not all red sticker baggies are Euro-f's, no other Hoth Commander Euro-f baggies have been confirmed to date without the red stickers, these came stapled, please see the "non kenner guide for details" this one came from the same (confirmed) ex meccano worker as all the recent (2016) find of meccano baggies, although only 21 figures have been confirmed as being a part of the meccano red sticker (free figure offer) some others have been found like this one & the Emperors Royal Guard, it is unclear at this time how a figure not in the known line up of 21 confirmed figures would have made it in to the lot, but pretty cool. PHOTO COURTESY OF Franck Gadal this is also the the worlds only known example, it was the only example but 3 have since been confirmed all tracing back to the same meccanno find in 2016, so the line up is now confirmed to be 23 figure not 21, good luck putting a full run together though.

ESB-b - PHOTO COURTESY OF - Chris Fawcett this is for me a huge find & a most thankful ease after wanting conformation for years of this baggie, it was speculated that IG88 was also found in this baggie type in the special offer bounty hunters Darth Vader carry case, but till now no conformation, very good to lay this one to rest, But (always a but ain't there) it has now also been confirmed that although this baggie type is specific solely to that special offer bounty hunter edition Darth Vader case, it was not always all 3 figures in this baggie, with ESB-a type also confirmed found in one (Bossk), so with a few fett's having turned up as well as a few Bossk's, so maybe if several of the cases turned up with IGGY in an ESB-a baggie it would make more sense why we never ever seen them come up for sale, this is the first & only confirmed example I have ever seen of this baggie/figure combo, please also see the Special Offer Vehicles & Playsets section (Page 7) for further photos showing all 3 baggies in the case.

Sorry the above reads a little disjointed/confusing I know, so in a nutshell, the bounty hunter vader case is know with all ESB-b baggies, but has also been found with both Bossk & IG88 in ESB-a 1st issue baggies.

Euro-d YPS exclusive (Black G.I.Joe gun) only 2 examples of this baggie have ever been confirmed, as the figure usually came in a paper bag or loose, the figure (loose) was also issued with the standard rifle, but both bagged examples have been with the G.I Joe gun, both reside in black hole collections.

SW-a - Small font - PHOTO COURTESY OF Andy Clarke, from what we know this baggie was specific to just the Palitoy issue Land of the Jawa's play set & is a very very tough baggie to find, in fact the hardest of all the Jawa baggies to lock down, even I've never managed to find a sealed example to add to the collection, this fact makes me always question the Canadian issued Special Offer Sandcrawler as at lest 2 examples have surfaced with 2 Jawa's in SW-a baggies, the Canadian collectors are 100% convinced that it was only ever issued with GDE 20 back MOC's & the baggies are substitutes, but with the insane rarity of the Jawa in SW-a (likely just as hard to find as a GDE 2 back) it makes me question if indeed GDE at some point had order shortfalls & they could have been issued with the set?? I guess we will never know for sure & it's a subject of divided opinion.

ESB-c - Large Font - all the VCB baggies are considered to be FAKE, but I am showing the examples here that have turned up over the years just for curiosity sake in case one day we ever know more, the only real likelyhood of them being confirmed would be from a sealed "we really do care" replacement.

ESB-c Vinyl cape - UNCONFIRMED & AWAITING AFA APPROVAL EDIT 20/9/15 I never heard anything back, so assume AFA never graded or authenticated this, TBH I am 99% sure this is not a legitimate baggie as it would have (IMO) been found in a SW issue baggie if ever released, but we will see what AFA have to say about it. EDIT 20/09/15- I have now seen a 2nd example of this baggie & got some back story regarding it, as the story goes, a kid got a jawa (cloth cape) on a carded figure, there was some kind of defect with the figure, so the father sent a letter to Kenner, they then sent out a replacement for the son & when it turned up it was a VCJ n an ESB-c baggie, the kid was very upset as it had (a ****** plastic cape) & never even opened it, the figure was then placed in a draw unopened & left, Now I can not confirm its legitimacy, but it's a very plausible story, Kenner using overstock to send out as replacements, this would also tie in the figure being issued in a later ESB era baggie type, but REMEMBER - this can not be confirmed so as before it is pure speculation, though very exciting speculation - 2 more examples found, though no closer to finding out if they are real or fake, but assume fake unless we get some provenance, at least we have images we can actually see now after that tiny image for all these years lol I think we can quite safely say the final pic is of a fake as it's ESB-d & just look at that cape

Although to date I sadly have no DT example to add to this post (god aren't they expensive) EDIT 5/1/16 DT examples added, it is worth noting that it has been found in both SW-a / SW-c / SW-d & SW-f baggies to date, much confusion why it would have been in a Palitoy-k baggies as the DT figures were never offered in the UK, that mystery has finally been resolved due to a new Kenner baggie classification (SW-f) - please see the new Kenner baggie guide linked on the first post of the guide

ESB-d - Blue Saber - tough to find with the Blue Saber, be cautious when considering buying one as many have been faked of late, often the green saber is removed & replaced with a blue through the factory vent holes, this is very obvious if you know what to look for as it widens the vent hole opening significantly, note the size of the vent hole on this confirmed authentic example.

Found in 2 MP's both of which can be found with both versions (blue saber & green saber baggies)

This rather extensive sub section is being included just to illustrate how varied the production could be & the amount of variations which can be found for a single figure in a baggie.

Weapons error baggie - Luke Jedi ESB-D, with no weapons

ESB-h Craig is 100% convinced that the ESB-h baggies are Kenner-made baggies, made at their premises in Cincinnati (USA).

I understand that when baggie supplies for Boxed Catalogue Multipacks were short, Kenner fulfilled orders for Sears, Montgomery Wards, Speigal, by ripping figures off Kenner Cards, and re-bagging them, which the below information would indeed seen to confirm.

Here are 4 different ESB-h Lukes, the ones with green sleeves are Taiwan (Universal Manufacturers) and have cape variants. The top Right is also a Taiwan but has an earlier Luke from a 65-A and has no sleeve.

The bottom right is a Made in Hong Kong Luke (Unitoys), To make all the ESB-h combinations here, at the same bagging station, they would have had pull an earlier Taiwan 65-A MOC, 2x latter Taiwan MOCs (like 77-As so with cape in green sleeve), and a Unitoys 65 or 77 back MOC.

To help illustrate, see this early Taiwan Luke MOC image above, and look over Luke's shoulder….the crafty Taiwan workers, on early MOCs, would take the green sleeve off the cape and use it to secure the figure inside the bubble, before carding. It is taped to the back of the bubble flanges. That is why the earlier ESB-h baggies don't have a green sleeve on the cape, as it was disgarded with the Cardback, when they removed the figure for bagging. When latter Taiwan Luke were made they didn't do this so the green sleeve remained on the cape, indicated by the red arrow on the image.

ESB-h Luke Jedi Baggie Variants…

Taiwan Luke Jedi ESB-h, heat sealed with vertical striped cape

Taiwan Luke Jedi ESB-h, heat sealed with standard horizontal striped cape, no green sleeve on cape (Early 65-A era ESB-h baggie)

Hong Kong (Unitoys) Luke Jedi ESB-h, heat sealed with fluffy Unitoys cape

Note Smile and Unitoys never supplied their Luke Jedi capes in any green sleeves. Hence this baggie doesn't have one.

Pailtoy-i Baggies…

Craig has two Palitoy-i (open ended) baggies, one a NCOO Smile Baggie with green sabre, This came from a Woolies pack from David Brown, The other is same baggie, but with a Hong Kong COO Smile Luke Jedi with correct colour blaster and blue Sabre.

He thinks it was a sale sample or something as the figure is 100% identical to Palitoy 65-Bs; it would have been hard to get that combo exactly right without years (decades) of research so have purchased it as a real baggie.
