Palitoy 1st 12 released COO guide

Hi all,

As we all seem to have a little extra time of late I thought it was finally the right time for me to put a thread up on the Palitoy Coo's for the first 12 figures released that I have.

Now before you flame me I realise that there are no specific UK Palitoy COO's for these figures as they all came through Kenner at the time but I bought a childhood collection of opened cards years ago and these are all of the original figures and weapons that came from these back in the day. I figured that this was as close as we could get to knowing what COO's these first figures had on them so I thought it was worth documenting them as I'm sure there are some collectors out there who like to know these things (well if I'm the only one then at least there's one of us!).

There are quite a few pictures to put up so I'll keep posting them up into this thread until it's finished but I'm sure depending on the time that these figures were sealed into their bubbles there could well be some COO differences out there for the same character, but after looking at many other childhood Palitoy COO's over the years they seem to match up as a good average of what we first had here in the UK.

I've listed these in order of their SKU although this is for Kenner so could have possibly been different for Palitoy (although it does seem to match up with all I've ever heard).

Great news on your set as we can double check these coo's and see if they match up. Also big thanks to all the other members who have written in this thread, I thought this might be a useful thing to document and it means people can put together a first issue run of coo's if they want.

The other thing I noticed as well is that all the figures with lightsabers are on A backs and have the flat/chiseled tips to their sabers (the end before thin tip comes out). This is the way I've always found it on mocs as the B backs are rounded (although I'm sure there are chilled tip B back examples out there as well).

That is brilliant work.
I'm a bit of novice compared to some regarding variants, even though i started collecting variants in the mid 90s. However, i have forgotten more than i ever learned :?
