This is SWF member Dinner Squadron who quite often repairs/reseals things and his descriptions usually lack the most important information..

I'll send him a PM with a link to this and if he doesn't reply to me or in this thread I will take it that he wants to be banned.

What is the point of this? It's such a common cardback, what's the value in it? I've seen repairs like this on less common cardbacks,
where it makes a little more sense.

I agree Joe...the POTF biker scout fooled me until I actually clicked on the auction. As we well know...some people are clueless and some people at he last minute will just bid quick as they think they are getting a steal.

So he hasn't actually responded to any of the previous threads highlighting his devious ebay practices. :? Doesn't seem to give much of a **** what we think does he.

(Edit- way off on when he latst logged in!) He might not have seen the threads but ee may get an email notification of the PM and read it, if not - I guess I will just ban him as he obviously does things that we don't agree with and as such isn't very welcome!

Kind of wish I hadn't sold him that Jawa cardback (that he instantly put up for sale for more money) now..at least he didn't reseal it I suppose!

Thanks for the email Joe, I'm only on here now and again so didn't notice the thread. Yes there's been a mix up which I'll sort out. Before anyone jumps on me their 99p cardbacks :D

Probably but when you've shill bidders, repro 12 backs being passed off as real and everything else that goes with ebay saying sold as seen isnt such a big deal on a 99p item with a picture that shows the defects. Maybe its just me but I'd have better things to do than open a thread over something this petty without even sending a heads up to the seller  :D
Anyway the issue's been rectified 8)

Not "probably", definitely.
And saying 'people do worse' therefore what i'm doing is fine is really nonsense logic and not a good enough reason.
I'm personally quite glad people on here do take the time to post watch out threads on items they could potentially get ripped off by. Be it 99p (one of yours sold for over £8 btw) or £99. It's irrelevant.

How about "sorry, you guys are right. I was out of order not describing my items properly. Glad you're looking out for people in the hobby"

FFS.

FFS who did I rip off? Did you even read my replies?
Yes the descriptions could have been better but its been sorted. It didn't take a thread being released to do it either. If I'd got an email on ebay that would have sorted it, but no, Joe was the only 1 who gave me a heads up on this and fair play to the fella.
As for

get a grip of your balls mate, thats not what I said.

I started the thread....you had repaired cardbacks for sale with no mention of them being repaired. Listed as a basically "What you see ...is what you get". There was no need to contact you as a seller because...well ...you knew they were repaired. As far as what Pete has said you have stated that it's no big deal to not mention this repair as peole do worse....so he was spot on with his observation. These items did fetch more than originally listed and I might add that a quick bidder or a newer collector may have not realized that cardbacks sometimes are repaired.

**** it, justify it whatever way you want but I listed around 50 cardback with the same thing
sold as seen
3 of which had a repair.
A simple email would have sorted it but a threads easier isnt it
If youve nothing better to do beat the crap out of this thread for all its worth but Im done.

Not justifying anything...just speaking the honest truth. Let's see I list 50 items and three of those have been restored................so I just say **** it and do not bother metioning it? I am done with you as well....and probably so is most of this forum.

IMHO

I think that it's great that genuine collectors on this forum take their time ( flippant and juvenile comments like " if you have nothing better to do..wind me up!.) to ensure that people on this forum are warned about making potentially costly mistake.

I am fairly new to the hobby in regard to making purchases, and I for one would like to thank the guys with experience, that spot and point these things out.

The easiest thing in the world is to hold your hand up, made a mistake, sorry, move on.

But that takes decency, honesty and a willingness to accept a mistake.

Joe, Todd, Pete ( don't grip too tightly mate!) thanks guys :D

It's members like you that I think of more. A new guy might take a quick glance and just buy an item like this. Maybe you only did loose a tenner.....so that makes it ok for you to get an ass ****in'.....I just can not go for that way of thinking. Hell at first glance I was almost fooled by the POTF biker scout. What if it was the last 10 seconds with no bids and I pulled the trigger. Wait....I have nothing better to do.....better shut up.

Alright, I ****ed up.
I didn't even know these were being listed but should have took more care and as its my item the blame rests with me.
BUT :D The reason I was pissed off was that it could have been sorted out easier with a simple email. I didn't and don't blame tieboy for giving everyone a heads up but considering he knew I was a member here I expected a quick email to say
fella you ****ed up your listing change it before someone gives you a neg over a 99p item.
Anyway like I said its being sorted out, the buyers have been informed and offered a full refund if they want it. It wasn't intentional and even if it was it wouldn't have worked with the pictures I took showing the cards with defects.
