It's still early days yet, the Spanish season only finished last night for god sake!
Give it time, hopefully Benitez is working on a few decent signings and not 3 or 4 squad players.

I'm keeping mental notes of all my kopite mates summer transfer predictions , its a yearly ritual ever since the summer when Raul was a supposed 'done deal'. :lol:

Ã'£10 million is stretching it a bit, begs the question why we can't afford Fernandes for Ã'£12million, he's the one everyone wants Moyes to sign and we have first refusal on him. Moyes only signs players that can run all day and play in 8 different positions though hence Jagielka seems certain to sign eventually.

I like the idea of Downing and Arteta (best Spaniard on Merseyside) on our wings though, he does deliver great crosses into the middle, but Ã'£10 million is too much. I reckon he's worth Ã'£6m but then Carrick went for Ã'£17m and Bent is valued at Ã'£18million so what do I know!

Fair point, If Carrick is worth Ã'£17 million and Bent Ã'£18 million then Downing is a bargain!
BUT...........neither of them are worth half that, and Downing is ****!
