Any golfers?

I know we had this discussion several years ago but thought I'd ask again as plenty of people have come and gone.

I used to play a lot as a teenager but haven't played regularly for 10 years and at all for 5 years! I have just bought some clubs as it's something I've always wanted to get back in to. I expect to be diabolical, but hopefully it won't take too long to get the hang of it again.

Anybody in the south fancy a forum game some time?

I'm playing on Sunday Edd. Used to be once a week/once a fortnight but not played much this winter. Hoping to get back to it now. Try and get back what little form i had.

That would be good mate, what range is it? I used to go to one in North East Londom but can't remember what it was called.

Its called A1 gold driving range. THey have just had a massive refurb, bigger driving range, more targets/areas to aim for, dinosuar crzy golf and I'm sure they said a small 9 hole pitch and put but not sure. It a good range just to go and have a smash.

Haven't played this year due to the weather but would try to play at least once a week during the drier times. Have played on and off since I was a teenager, I do enjoy it but can also get a bit frustrated when the swing is playing up :evil: I was actually talking to my friend today about having our first round of the year next week. Whatever plans you make I'd be interested to know and I'm sure Jr would get involved too, could even play some Fourballs or fourballs

We were poor as kids and I had to borrow my mates club. He used a 4 iron and I got the 7. Only problem was I'm left handed and had to play with the back of the club. Interesting games :lol:

I only had a 7 iron and a putter for ages! In fact I could get a better score on a round with those 2 clubs than I could with a full set. It's a good way to learn.

Play a bit myself.....haven't been out in a while with the arrival of the little one.... 8) oh well, got down to 14 last year which I was happy with, was down to 12 about 4 yrs ago.

Occasionally myself and a few friends go to our local driving range and hit 50 or 100 balls. Im totally sh*t at it. It amazes me just how **** I am actually. I smacked a ball a while back at the range and the club must of some how gone underneath the ball and sent the ball directly upwards. It hit the roof or top of the shelter at the range and came down and landed in one of my friends booths which was like 2 booths up from mine and it bounced about like a mad power ball. Needless to say It was funny as fu*k for me but my mate didnt enjoy that too much. We can all look back and laugh now. Anytime we've gone since then they always joke about needing to bring a hard hat with them... cu*ts lol.

A friend of mine is **** at 10 pin bowling. He is so bad that once the ball he bowled missed the alley and went into the next one. It hit the gutter wall of that alley and bounced back into his alley promptly knocking down all 10 pins. If I recorded it and put it on YouTube you'd say it was fake.
