AST-5 mini rig repair

My childhood AST-5 has a snapped front laser cannon (broke in storage)
I've got a shell of another one which has a perfect cannon on th left side so would like to swap it with mine.

Has anyone swapped one before or taken an AST apart?

Is it as simple as pulling it off the vehicle body or will that just snap it as well!

Any help appreciated

Get yourself a flathead screwdriver and work it in between the black gun and the brown side. Just keep prying at it and it will pop right off.
