thats a shocker allright :evil: , i had this happen to me with a boxed xwing i got of ebay ....the guy wrapped it in brown paper and that was it , result was a squashed box i was livid at the time ! I make sure now when dealing with people i dont know ESP on ebay that they use a seperate box and plenty of bubble wrap or paper , and ever since no problems at all :wink:

did you try putting a claim in through royal mail and paypal ???

That's a bastard. Its the curse of the Rebel Transport. I had the exact same thing with one last year! The numpty just wrapped it up in brown paper which just ripped off and all the contents spilled around the postie's van. Luckily he recognised it as a collectable and gathered everything together.

Agreed, you can't assume anything nowadays. People will just see it as a box. Unless you are dealing with an obvious collector I think you need to be really specific. I learned the hard way when a seller posted me a Tri Logo Hybrid BBG in a Jiffy bag.

Had something very similar years ago. Did yours have anything to stop the ship moving about in the box? Mine didn't. Smashed to a million bits. Seller was "surprised". Just file a claim and get your money back.

The stupid thing is that it has taken them quite a lot of effort to be a ****wit. Its so much easier to put it in a box and tape the top that to wrap it like grandma's incontinence pads you are giving her for Christmas.
