well done costa rica , i thought they would of been battered by eng urg and italy in the group stage. fair play i sneeky semi final for them i reckon.

Agreed..Greece ar boring to watch..but they didn't go home in the Group stages like us!
Shame for Mexico, at least their manager can have a rest...wow..he was mental on the touch line!

Not harping on about England...but looking at the majority of coaches who all are hyped, passionate and kicking every ball with their teams, then look at England? Look back at the passion we had in the past with Robson and El Tel for example, that surely bonds and motivates a team
Woy is not IMO going to be able to do that...so where do we go from here, just more of the same to come.
 
Nice dive by Robben :roll: feel a bit sorry for Mexico, however it was all Holland for a good deal of the second half.

Agree with what others have said, Greece were bloody woeful and I'm glad they are out. I think Holland will hammer Costa Rica in the QFs.
 
Felt sorry for both Chile and Mexico.

Why didn't the Chilean keeper hold on to that shot/glorified pass back that he punched. The resulting corner lead directly to Brazil scoring. There wasn't another player with 5 yards of the keeper when the initial shot came in, if he holds that, even at the second time of asking, Brazil don't go one up!
Cesar was no better for Chile's goal. He went down in stages FFS.

Fair play though he looked a lot better in penalties than the Chilean keeper (he was shitting himself).
Brazil have been distinctly mediocre so far. No sign of them "playing themselves into the tournament" whatever the **** that means!

Colombia are looking great. All that with Falcao missing as well.

Hard luck on Mexico, but from a neutrals point of view I think the Dutch are better to watch. Agreed on the temperature affecting the game. If they take 3 min breaks when it gets over 35 what are they going to do in Qatar? lay for 3 mins then take a 2 hour break!? :roll:

For some strange reason I missed the Greek game last night. Costa Rica are a decent enough side to watch, but that Greece side are worse than watching paint dry. Glad to see the back of them.

Ohh and Robben is a diving wee scrote............but we all knew that anyway.
 
Annoying that Al Jazeera ( :wink: ) didn't make good on the early possession and attacking play, looks like the Germans will come back strongly in this last 30 mins...

Just can't believe Belgium didn't win that. Really needed 1-0 and they dominated like i've not seen a team do this world cup.
