2013 Reflections- 2014 Aspirations

Highlights for me:

01: CE2 SWFUK Tour. Great weekend with great lads in the Falcon. My first time selling cardbacks, was great fun!
02: AFA Graded Palitoy VCJ and Vectis auction. Great to be vindicated after years of naysayers saying they were all fake. Working out the transition from vinyl to cloth cape bubble via the R2D2 transitional bubble
03: The explosion in membership of my star wars vintage group and seeing it turning into a star wars resource in its own right

2014:

01: Get a job so I can start buying again
02: Depending on 01, would like to make more progress on my foreign cardbacks
03: Expanding my palitoy cardback guide into a full blown star wars palitoy guide with vehicles/playsets etc

highs
- finding a moc at a carboot sale which spurred my enthuisam for the hobby when it was dwindling
- managing to restore a ****ed water damaged moc into a kind of displayable beater moc :lol:

lows
- being sniped on ebay too many times
- not finding the cardbacks i wanted too complete my run

2014 objections

catalog my loose collection coo/variants etc
buy more cardbacks
continue buying budget moc's when i can! though prices are going up :?

ive cataloged my loose figures upto The Starwars Wave! upon closer inspection a few need upgrading to better condition now that im seasoned collector :roll:

i have bought more cardbacks

budget mint on card have proven difficult this year but since publishing my limelight in April and from the positive comments from the thread
it spurred me on to continue and have picked up more since april and will update showcase early next year

2013

1. Bidding on and winning a Palitoy Luke Jedi and Biker Scout from my phone whilst on a train from Brussels to Bruges.
2. Getting a Palitoy Die Cast Star Destroyer in excellent (re)sealed condition.
3. Making leaps and strides towards completing the Palitoy carded collection.

2014

1. Complete the Palitoy branded figure collection (some really hard ones to get now!)
2. Get a Palitoy Die Cast Falcon or Y-Wing.
3. Blag an extras role in the new Star Wars film.

Managed 2. Only need Slave I to complete the 'regular' die cast lot. Only five more figures needed for 1.

List for this year:

1. Complete the Palitoy branded figure collection (MOCs, reseals)
2. Get some more boxed 12" figures
3. Upgrade some MOCs/reseals (should really only do this when 1 is completed!)

Star Wars 2013 -
1, The Epic Lads tour, the whole experience, truly epic.
2, Completing my Luke MOC run, including revenge proof, thanks Bram.
3, The second Epic Lads tour, ok thats next week but its still 2013!

Star Wars 2014
1, Blagging an extra slot on Eps VII, or some sort of production assistant (i have a face for radio).
2, Doing more Star Wars stuff with my son.
3, Adding to my collection, a decent miscard would be cool.

2014
1, Epic Fail
2, We'll always do Star Wars. Had fun making the competition video and putting it on Youtube
3, Added loads but Epic Fail on the miscard.

Even with the Episode VII fail, this has been an awesome year.

For 2015
1, Having a great Celebration.
2, Getting a Creature Set Triple Pack in my collection.
3, Episode Vii greatness, to be enjoyed with friends and family.

01: I have never received so much Danish Star Wars stuff before
02: I got my first meccano stuff a X-Wing Fighter Box and a Leia cardback
03: I have come to know many of you great collectors on this great forum 8)

2014:

01: More Danish Star Wars Stuff.
02: To find the last vehicles and playsets with box that I am missing.
03: To meet and get to know more of you guys.

01. I got a lot of danish star wars stuff. I think it was my best year, I have never found so much before
02. I am still missing a few vehicles and playsets. But I got Vaders star Destroyer and the Palitoy Death Star Playset
03. I did not meet any of you guys in 2014 but I learned a lot of great things about you guys
