Do you have boxing day Lars?

It's the 26th here - don't have anything traditional on that day either

Boring buggers aren't we

Funny I think that is across the board in the UK (Scotland,England,Wales or N Ireland) :?

We usually have the full works again on Boxing Day :D

Interesting where the tradition of Boxing Day came from

Box with money and gifts opened up for workers etc and for the poor in the old days

Tradition is still kept Live, with tips for the milkman, window cleaner etc

That's true Mike 26th a repeat of the 25th (apart from pressies)

I thought boxing day was traditionally for packaged gifts for the Army etc overseas...

Ho ho ho and a Merry Christmas to you Lars and to all of SWFUK :D

When it comes to Danish Christmas time I am very knowledgeable.......

In Denmark they eat pig with Red cabbage, Brown sauce, Potato and Caramelized Potatoes or duck with Red cabbage, Brown sauce, Potato and Caramelized Potatoes

Later they eat dessert Risalamande with cherry sauce

In December they also eat a lot of Rice pudding with sugar, Cinnamon and butter. They also drink a lot of Christmas beer :

Christmas Beer

From the 1st December to the 24th December they watch a TV Christmas calendar in 24 episodes. Normally they make a new one every year and there is also more than one to watch because each channel has their own calendar. Most of them are for kids but others are also for older people.

Here is some of the gnomes or elves. They live on the attic in many house in all of Denmark and in December they like to tease people and make a lot of trouble. But if you put Christmas bear and Rice pudding with sugar, Cinnamon and butter every night in the attic they'll be nice, that is the story they tell the kids in Denmark.

Does that sound about right Lars

Have no clue about Denmark, but that sounds exactly like Norway, except it's
rice porridge, not pudding, and we don't eat duck, but sausages, some "meatcakes" and
stickmeat..... Have no idea what it's called in english, too lazy to look it up, oh
and turkey have also become common on christmas eve

Looks great Stephen - I bet you are a walking encyclopedia on everything Danish :p

I would have thought Norway, Denmark etc would be more traditional than the UK

Don't forget, we have Xmas pudding! - Lars knows what that tastes like

Merry Xmas to each and every one of you!
There might be a few Santa hats and jumpers tonight at FF!

Great film lists. I can't believe you haven't seen Gremlins Andy, that's almost as bad as me not seeing "It's a wonderful Life"
