2 12 Backs damaged in post by eBay Global Shipping Program!

I have recently sold an item on eBay to a buyer in the US. I am a total novice in terms of posting to the states. I would appreciate it if anyone can recommend the best postage company to use and explain what I need to do with customs? Cheers

I use UPS via Parcel2go. Not the cheapest but every parcel I have sent arrived safely within 5 days. It also helps if you pack it well, especially if you double box and protect any fragile bubble. I can spent up to 30 mins packing it up sometimes, trust me its worth it and not leave it to chance! :D

I always wrap the item in bubble wrap, put it in a box, then put it in a bigger box with packing peanuts. I've shipped tons of carded figures over the years and have never had a problem. Just stay away from the Global Shipping on ebay. :)

I was lucky enough to buy the parts of this through eBay from the OP a week or so ago. I'm missing this character as a 12 back, so thought for the sum of the parts I got a good deal to create a reseal as the next best thing.

A lot of ironing and stacking of books flattened the cardback as much as I think it ever will, then some very patient PVA glue work to reapply the bubble. I have made an effort to only have 85% of the bubble perfectly registered with the backing print in order to be totally transparent that it is a reseal. If you take a look from a foot away it looks spot on, get real close and its an easy enough spot, so no attempt at fakery here... NOTE this is a keeper and WILL NOT BE SOLD, but you never know when you might no longer be around so I wanted to fix it in an honest way.

Looks awesome buddy. Bloody good job. I'm amazed it went for £91. I was expecting maybe £20-30. Still trying to decide what to do with the 3PO. I don't think I'll bother getting it graded, as it may only get a 50/60 grade. The figure and bubble are in great shape, but there is the tear on the punch. I do plan to offer some of my graded figures on here when I get them back, but the 3PO will have to go on eBay as it might get a better than expected price like the SP.

The whole system stinks, it's just money, money, and more money. And now opening figures to check for drugs? If that was really the case then it's ****ing outrageous. I've missed out on many items because I won't buy from sellers who insist on using it, the one time I did I came home from work to find my £300 figure Sat on my front doorstep, in the pouring rain.
Luckily it was ok, but never again.

Ebay GPS is just a big money making scam end of.

I won't go near anyone in America who is part of it and email them to tell them so.

Half of them don't even know what it is or that their part of it.

Ebay and people who sell on ebay must be loosing money because of it.

The only reason it was brought in was to try and clamp down on people not paying import tax at customs.

All its done is stop people from buying from America at all.

But maybe that was the idea all along.
