Loving the Harbert fett add, I really need to find me one of those, very cool item.
That Harbert advert is very common - make sure you don't get conned into over paying for it (the old Fett tax). Somewhere between £5-£10.
If need be, I can recommend a lovely Italian lady on eBay who sells these regularly-ish who I've bought from many times.

I think I've got a complete set of Harbert adverts, or at least all the ones I've ever seen including some variants.

I haven't posted here in years so thought I'd chip in.

I recently toy got these two back from UKG. Very happy with the results. VCJ borderline 85-90 and TTVCJ borderline 75-80. Maybe the best grades I've had to date in the both of them.

Ahh, really? I have been away from collecting for a good while- I jumped on this Harbert ad when I saw it, I'd never seen it before! The 'Fett tax' made me chuckle... so true. I paid £10 for mine, which I thought wasn't too bad.

A Kenner 79 back arrived today from the States for my Stormtrooper collection. I'm embracing going against my natural tendency towards perfectionism, and enjoying picking up cards that bear the passage of time. Some serious yellowing on this bubble, but has a solid seal all around it. I got it a good price, but I was a bit gutted that it was held at my sorting office with a customs tax of £48 to pay before they'd deliver. I don't recall having to pay any amount on previous purchases from across the Atlantic, is it a random thing and I was just unlucky, or is this how it is now? If so I think I'll stick to buying within the UK. Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated!

My understanding is that you have to pay duty, and then import tax on the total cost+duty. I was having to pay to have parcels from the US released in the early 2000s when buying from the US. More recently some US sellers seem to have a system through eBay where you can pay taxes upfront when making the purchase. I bought an Ewoks cartoon series wicket from the US about 2 years ago and paid upfront.

Ahhh, thanks... I clearly didn't pay duties on this purchase at the time. I'll be more alert next time rather than just feverishly hitting the 'Buy' button!

Great advice Gadders, thank you, please do drop me a PM with the seller as I would indeed like to pick this one up, just a crying shame there's not 1 confirmed example of the actual mailer known, crazy how many offers there were in Europe for figures that nobody has ever seen, where did they all go??

Have sent you the seller name. TC-14 (Martin) cleared her out of Star Wars on Monday :ROFLMAO: but she does get them in semi regularly.
In total I'm aware of 18/19 Harbert figure adverts I think. I can post a thread somewhere with pics if anyone is interested.

This one was just a hankering - nothing rare or exciting - but wanted a loose Falcon to actually look at and enjoy rather than the boxed one (which obviously never gets admired).
She is pretty clean, no yellowing - stickers are in decent nick, the rear landing struts are a bit loose but hold and the top back section is loose (no swooshing) - the electrics work and there is a nice Chewie and Han in the cockpit, best of all - bought in a shop so instant joy....

Yes all complete - right down to the training ball and some vintage string :) . Might look and see if there is a replacement back that fits a bit better (swooshing...).

I got this lot saturday with the mail. I bought it for my danish price sticker focus, the box has a danish price sticker from the danish toy store BR and then there also was some figures in the lot. The vehicle are not complete, it is missing 2 guns and 1 foot, I know I have some spare vehicles so maybe I have the parts so I can complete the vehicle. To my big surprise most of the figures looks really great.

Seconded, that'll be a great post to read and refer back to. And apologies for hoovering up current Italian ads, Frank- I'm a generous soul 😁 happy to share my bounty with you if you need a Harbert ad in particular!
No problem Martin, you hoover away mate, another will come along in good time mate, I fancy picking up the fett one at one point

That's a mint Biker Scout MOC you've got there, Beeper- good work!

I've just received this today:

Unpunched 77 back, not as minty as yours, but I'm really enjoying collecting MOCs with a bit of vintage patina- the yellowing bubble (this one still has a good seal all around) and something else that I'm really leaning in to now is mark-down price stickers.

Lars @Pomse2001, it seems we're on the same collecting track buying vintage items with price stickers from our native countries!

I think this price sticker is a 1980s era Tesco, at a guess I think this would have retailed at around £1.49 in 1983… to see it marked down to 35p is quite a shock! But still, a real snapshot in time. Love the historical context it shows.

Nice, and unpunched. In terms of MOCs I think we have a similar approach. I've got a few very nice ones. But, most are a bit weathered or patina'd. The Kea Moll I posted in the toy of the week is a good example with a bit if age related wear.

I also don't mind the price stickers. At the end of the day that is how they were sold.

Cool that I am not the only price sticker collector, do you have many items with the price stickers that you want ?
