In fairness to Bollux the lion king is the best animated film of all time,in my opinion.

A few people have mentioned apocalypse now and that is one film I just dont get really, platoon yes, full metal jacket yes,but that one really dissapointed me when I saw it,each to their own though and i'm not criticising anybody.

Cheers stef

Apocalpyse now is a fantastic film. It shows prety ****ing clearly how messed up and farsical the Vietnam war was.

PS, Browny, I fixed your previous post. You had quoted me slagging off Bollux, but you had replied in the middle of my post.

Cheers weasel man,I knew I ****ed up in there somewhere but couldnt figure out what I did?!

Ps - it depends what you want from a war film really and I like **** loads of deaths  ,has anybody seen and enjoyed 13 days by any chance?cracking film! (just to contradict myself totally :) )

With Apocalypse it's not just the film it's the soundtrack also. The "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" scene with Robert Duvall is a all time classic IMO.

Oh yeah not heard of Fargo  but saw it in the cheap DVD bin at work for £3 so will watch it over the weekend and see.

Lock Stock and 2 Smocking Barrels.
Snatch (Not a porno TFB)
Layer Cake
Leon
The Terminator

Then SW original Trilogy.

-the warriors
-goodfellas
-apacolypse now ( redux)
-happy gilmore ( actualy anything that has adamsandler in it kills it)
-death proof

i put up five different genre's of film up , but in each genre theire are so many favourite films of mine

that i feel to mention link , -carlito's way , la haine, FMJ , i pronounce you chuck and larry , the longest yard

pulp fiction , reservoir dog's , kill bill 1,2 , platoon , saving private ryan , scar face , and the list goes on

state of grace
sweeney todd the demon barber of fleet street
true lies
saving private ryan
the godfather

A couple of slightly diverse ones there, but all are good-un's. And for those asking about war films, try to watch the hurt locker. Very nicely made film based on bomb squads in iraq.

Jimmy, Apocalypse now REDUX!?

Are you serious? The redux version is pish! It slows the film down so badly and takes it off on random tangents that are completely irrelevant!
