First off, this is honestly not a joke. I know the post I made earlier today ("Lost the collecting bug") seems a bit too convenient, but this is honestly not me BS'ing.

I got a call from my mum at 4pm today, saying our house back in Bournemouth has been burgled. Guess what's gone? Yep, the majority of my figures :(

As I'm up in London I can't get back til the weekend to see what's gone, but from the photo below that my mum sent me I can see around 70 have been taken. My entire Luke bespin collection (Apart from the Popy you can see near the bottom) is gone, along with all my AFA graded figures, last 17, and 30 odd other tri logos. I honestly don't know how to feel, this is the worst.

I know this photo doesn't prove much, but I swear this is the truth. The shelves were packed full with nearly 130 figures. I guess you could say it serves me right for considering selling them earlier on today, coincidence or what!

It seems to me somebody must have known what they were looking for, I guess hundreds of people from ebay and forums must have my address. They took all the rarest stuff.

All I can say as I'm gutted, it took a very long time to put that together. Even if the insurance pays up, I doubt I'll bother replacing it.

I don't know what to say!! :(

Did anything else get taken or did they just focus on the Star Wars items?

Jesus Edd that's a ****ing kick in the balls if ever there was one! :(
Sorry to hear about it. At least you got it all insured, would have been worse if it wasn't covered.

I'd love to catch some bastard in the process of burgaling my house. Only one of us would live to tell the tale! ****ing scum!

The hardest bit now is how to convince the insurance company of what has been taken and it's true value. How do you put a value on all of the items and prove you had them at the time? If they are gullible I suppose you could claim there was a Tri Logo Jawa and Madine amongst them!!

Terrible news Edd, I would be absolutely gutted :(

Did they take any else apart from your Star Wars stuff?

I'm sure most of it will end up on ebay and from that information they should be able to catch the bastards

Edd thats awful, I'm really sorry to hear it :(

When you can why don't you pm us all with a list of the rarer figures and AFA ones as they will be more noticeable if the thief tries to sell them on. Theres a lot of us scanning ebay and the other forums regularly here so theres a chance we could find your stuff if the twat tries to move it.

Guys I would also reconsider any links between this forum and ebay accounts etc its too easy for people to make the link and obtain addresses, especially when you're showcasing your collection. Thats why I've never openly identified my ebay name. Its a shame but thats the kind of country we live in these days

man... what can you say to that!! unbelivable

do you have any photos of it all when it was there?? if you post some photos of your stuff on here then all the lads on here can keep an eye out on ebay and it might be an idea to go to the convention at birmingham in november !! there is only a few ways to shift this stuff ...........

did you have it covered to the full value?

iam now going to get mine insured!

That's unbelievable Edd, I really feel for you. I'll be sure to start searching for Luke Bespin's - lets see if we can find this thief

i ****ing hate burglars! if you need to steal a loaf from a shop to survive then fair enough, but this is some ****er that knew too much! they knew what they were taking, surprised they didnt take the lot.
lets hope they try to shift it on ebay or at memorabilia

Did they actually pick and chose the ones they wanted though or were the best conditioned ones stored together?

I think you should also put this on Rebelscum so other MOC collectors can keep a look out for them.

and IOP as well

Edd, when you have a minute just pm us all some details about what exactly was taken and we can keep our beedy eyes open (I wouldn't post anything openly as the arsehole thief might be looking in to see what he has).

Thanks for the comments guys. They also took a lot of records, some of which are also worth quite a bit. Hate to say it, but seems like it could be somebody that knows me.

Stupidly I had all the rarest stuff on the lower shelves (In case the house ever burned down so it would be easier to grab  ) so it might just be bad luck that they got my favourite/most expensive stuff.

I won't know exactly what's missing until Friday, but at least some of it will be easily distinguishable. I'll put a list together and then spread the word.
