Yellow vs White Figures

Seems like yellowing is just a part of it. Sometimes you get lucky, other times you don’t.

I have my figures in a display case behind glass, I’m tempted to get some UV film to enhance the protection of the glass a bit but they are rarely in direct sunlight. The important ones are in cases so if I believe the blurb on them they should be ok, disregarding other factors of course.

As has been said sadly the onward marching of time & degradation are inevitable, I have recently noticed 2 of my Ugnaughts have purple smoks now, one is in the loose display & another is a baggie version which is in acrylic case, neither are ever subjected to direct sunlight, I have noted that even a few of my white figures in the loft display are getting a yellow tinge to them & there's no windows up there, so I'd say even without any light we are going to see white figures slowly getting yellow due to degradation in the plastics over time, it's a little annoying I know but just part & parcel if you collect vintage.

Yep the ravages of time can’t be halted as said all part of collecting. Take a look in the mirror in 10 years time …that’s what time does!
