Sweet memories with these. May seem like a lot, but they are very, very, very rare.

Holy ****, there's a price

I've still got mine from my childhood although all the transfers have been badly applied, still love these though :D

Ian

Nice!

Did later cereal packs have these stencil things in? Seem to remember having something very similar

Remember having these and the Dairylea ones. That price is crazy, but as you say, very rare! I sold a couple of Jaws 3D Shredded Wheat packets for £40 around 10 years ago. Probably worth a lot more now...

I know that Gus (of Gus & Duncan) was talking about needing some of the UK Cereal boxes when he was speaking at FF - I wonder if this was one of them?

Yeah, i thought i remembered tham, but not if they were from 1977!

That's an astounding price. I have three myself and I'll make sure I look after them.

These items date from 1978 and were the only Star Wars U.K cereal tie ins up until the 1990's. That's a bit surprising considering the strength of the Star Wars brand.

These Star Wars disposable items are really hitting big prices. A Letraset display box went for a huge sum recently and we all know about the hunger for Helix.

Off the top of my head, the rarest throwaway item that I own is my Star Wars Wimpey table standee from 1978. Or perhaps my Dixons display card for the LED watch. Does anyone else have disposable items that could command a high value?

Craig.

I was watching these hoping to get the worlds biggest bargain. Seller had tons of amazing and rare star wars items

That price is just mental!

I have vague memories of seeing a Shreddies TV advert promoting these, at the time.
I've never been able to track it down (also the SW Weekly comic TV ad).

Not sure if my memory is playing tricks. Can anyone confirm?

A lot of money for sure, but as Craig says the only vintage cereal promotion for Star Wars and thus highly desirable.
Hard to believe they didn't do more Star Wars cereal items, I remember Weetabix doing Doctor Who, Ready brek did a series of generic sci-fi transfers and my favourite, the Black hole 'shrinkie-dinks' or 'shinkie-dinkies', also Shreddies if memory serves. I'd love to find some of them unused.

I remember those Dr Who ones and still have a set of the Flash Gordon cards that Weetabix gave away back then. There are some other amazing items if you take a look at the sellers sold items, they really made some good money on those old cereal boxes and it's great to see them :D

Although i was a star wars nut ...i dont recall any of these. The dr who weetabix is a strong memory with the cut out scenes from the back of the packet. Loved them and must have ate so much weetabix. Must have cost my mum a fortune in the kwiksave! Also remember ET green biscuits/cookies in 80s.

I really remember the Superman Weetabix cards and scenes https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=weetabix+superman+cards&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=MGoHVIu8IYar7Aan2oHgAg&ved=0CDoQ7Ak&biw=360&bih=567

One green, one pink, and one brown E.T. Biscuits... And cola flavoured to boot!! I loved those things, and the E.T. Card that came with!!

I remember Shreddies and Shredded Wheat doing E.T. transfers that had luminous glows around them. He looked like he'd been on the Ready Brek instead.
