Sorry guys, as long as you play without a keeper, you´ll never grab a cup ...

I´d never expected to read those lines in a british newspaper ...

But what Germany lacked in defensive strength, they more than made up for in pace, power and technique up front.

Germany tend to be called "efficient", "robotic" or even "dour". They deserve more glowing praise and it would be a good thing for the World Cup as a whole if some of the other countries were to take note and replicate their commitment to attack.

Lafos you have a nice team and play a lot like the Dutch usually do. Just hope you don't end up like we do every single tournament.

As a neutral I've been pretty unimpressed by what I've seen so far in the WC. I missed the England and Holland games, but from what I've heard neither side looked overly impressive.
Still it's early days, and if you're gonna have a bad game, the group stage is the time to have it!

Mind you, I am laughing my balls off at France!
How can they expect to improve when they leave that muppet in charge of the team, he hasn't a notion what he's doing, and you can tell the palyers know he is a dead man walking. I mean 2-0 against a moderate side in Mexico (Ok, they aren't a bad outfit, but if you have ANY ideas about winning the WC you should be able to beat them reasonably comfortably) and he leaves Cisse and Henry sitting on the bench with his team looking devoid of ideas and with the cutting edge of a gooseberry!

Hopefully it will get more interesting with the last round of group games. What odds on Brazil Spain in the last 16!?

The SPANISH ref thought this is a woman´s game. But we´ll come back and hopefully reach the 1/8 final vs. England.

everyone was presuming Germany would finish top of their group and so we would have to finish top to avoid Germany ....... Now it's all over the place

The ref was terrible I'll give you that. I was surprised only one player got sent off. 80% of the yellow cards he handed out were no more than free kicks. Saying that Podolski really fluffed that penalty!

If Ghana is not going to loose against the Aussies today, GER and ENG will not meet in the quartefinals ! Both teams have to win their last group match, if so, they'll win their groups.

 We better win, if New Zealand finish with more points than us I'm going to hide under a rock
Australia made a big game with 10 men vs. Ghana. Great fighting spirit. Too bad you didn´t score the 2nd goal in the last couple of minutes. But the Aussies are still in the race for the next round.

OK, ENG 2nd in th group, which means we´re facing each other in the next round (if we beat Ghana) ... :D
