I've been looking at buying a ROTJ MOC which is in really nice condition and from what I can tell is authentic. My only worry is the bubble which appears to be on the skew, had a look around the forum but couldn't find any info about this.
Are wonky bubbles anything to worry about or is this normal? Didn't know if there was a link between this and MOC's being fake...

Thanks, Charles

Hi Charles a photo would make it a lot easier for members to make a judgment. I'm sure you will get plenty of advice then.

Cheers Adam. :)

Looks good to me, I would like to see the back as well. Is it a 65 Back. Some of these came with footers.

Here's a picture of the back as well, don't suppose you'd have any idea of value either, would you?

Thanks, Charles

Looks nice, value £150 - £180. Perhaps someone else wants to chip in, feeling the pressure a bit here.

lol sorry about all the questions, I'm a bit of a rookie. Appreciate your help!!!

That's a very clear bubble for a Kenner RoTJ Hoth trooper card!
If it's all ok, and it looks it, but there are more experienced guys on here, I would say thats a fair price, maybe a little higher?

Yeah it's a very nice example one of the best I've seen for sale so far. Do you think the wonky bubble would have an affect on the grade if I was to send it away?

I would hope not, but I'm far from an expert on that subject.
It's a very nice piece, I have seen wonky bubbles in the past, can't recall a Kenner one though.

Toy Toni? This 'MOC' maybe a result of a 'Toy Toni' MOC which basically a 'collector' had a load of old stock (figures, bubbles and cardbacks) and decided to put them together in the 90's and sell them off as vintage. Here's a link to show what cardbacks he 'reproduced'. (scroll down a little on the page)

The Hoth Stormtrooper was one of his biggest sellers. Not to put one off but simply to try and inform.

I have a few Mocs with similar bubbles. I think the curves to the bubbles are from excess heat when they put the bubbles on. I thought Toni only had access to palitoy overstock and not Kenner.

Sorry, my apologies. I missed the logo.

Theirs no known Toy Toni's on Return of the Jedi cards either. :)

Yes there are as they come up on eBay quite often and listed as so (not always though)...

I simply missed the Kenner logo as noticed the pristine cardback.

I was also around when it all hit the fan around 5 years ago on the forums and remember the Stormtrooper Hoth being one of the most reproduced he'd done.
