Hi Grand Moff, nice to see a guy from Denmark, welcome to the forum

Thanks.

A fellow dane. I did not know I was going to stumble into another dane so soon on the forum.

We are a rare breed. LOL.

Yes we are very rare  I hope you will like it here

I am not really a newbie, just been avoiding SWF for the last 5 years or so lol.

I am sure one or two know me, if not I must do a silent fart

Hi,
my name is Carsten I am 38 years old and live in Germany I am a Star Wars fan like most others here since early childhood.
I got my first figures with the age of 4 or 5 in 80/81 I remember it like it was yesterday I got Walrus Man and Dengar ( I didn´t saw the movie at this time) and I was very dissapointed of the figures because there were no working holsters on them like on my Playmobil Cowboys :) Then I saw the Movie and I was totally blown away...and wanted all of the little Plastic guys
Hope to have a great time here

Hi everyone
My name is Scott but most people I know call me Hooch or Pekboy. I am on the better part of 40 years old and from that little convict island Australia.
I am currently concentrating on collecting the first 21 moc's and related vehicles. I have a wonderful girlfriend in Michelle that supports what I collect and together we have a bit of a Ewok focus going that's coming along.
I already know a few people on here from other places but am always keen to meet more
Thanks and see you all around

Hooch

Hello There..! (Sorry couldn't resist).

I've joined this forum after listening to the SWFUK podcast. It's been great listening to guys from the UK talk about vintage. I'm 38 and been a Star Wars fan as long as I can remember, the toys I have now are the ones I started out with as a kid. Over the last 5 years I've been (very slowly) trying to complete my loose collection of vintage figures. Getting very close now. Anyway, decided to join the forum after hearing about all the cool stuff being discussed on the podcast. So Hi..!

Welcome aboard Leon, great forum, fellow Lancashire Lad as well.

Great that you have your childhood pieces, and your adding to it with loose to start with.

You will get loads of good advice, and there is loads of great reference material and links. also the FS thread is great as you can buy sell and trade, knowing that all SW purchases are bona fide with nor repro issues that you get on ebay etc.

Hi folks, long time reader - finally getting round to putting a post on!

I'm one year off 40, from Ayrshire (West coast of Scotland) and like everyone here have been a huge fan of the toys since childhood. I had everything Kenner/Hasbro put out from 95 onwards but I became really disillusioned with the whole thing about 2003/04 with the amount of repacks and multiple lines at once. I sold the whole lot keeping my vintage stuff only.
Then in 2008 found out my brother hadn't kept up his storage unit payments and lost the contents (just like storage wars). This would have been inconsequential to me but for the fact our entire SW collection from our childhood was in it - all went to charity. Loads of complete, well looked after vehicles, all accesssories, loads of sealed Palitoy mini rigs, speeder bikes etc All gone. He didn't tell me till well after the event so I could do nothing about it. Till this day I'm not over it. :(

Anyway we still get on. I've since completed a run of mint/complete loose vintage figures and bought a few Jedi carded ones, which I've had graded at UKG.

Funnily enough the whole ToyToni thing brought me here. I'm a bit wary of buying any vintage MOC's from Ebay now (especially Palitoy) and searching for info I came across the source!

Anyway salutations to all!

Ricky
