ROYAL MAIL OR EBAY!!!!!

I've had reason to hate both money grabbing cunts yesterday and again today.

Last night it took me over an hour to send my email address to a buyer who contacted me through my messages service on Ebay on whether I had an item (Non Star Wars) for sale, I mailed back stating I did and that I would give him a discount if we did it away from Ebay. He requested my Paypal email address and that's where the problems started.

Ebay won't let you send your email address through the 'my messages' service - you get a message stating message not sent and some crap about protecting users identities - BOLLOCKS  EBAY - why don't you just be honest and state you don't want members dealing outside your corrupt system as you don't get final value fees off me the seller or the associated Paypal fee again off me the seller. I would respect your money making site a tiny bit, but no you blatantly lie!!!

I then spend over an hour trying to send my email address through various ' morse code' like descriptors to my buyer and even then the ****ing site wouldn't send the ****ing message. FIVE ****ING MESSAGES I had to send and then the buyer wasn't 100% sure he had it right, he missed out a dot, which we eventually got round to fixing.

I ****ING HATE YOU EBAY

Then today I come to send the item in question. I measure the box and it falls within the remit of the small parcel option.

I go to my local Post Office where I'm told it's a Medium Parcel. WHAT?????????????? :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:
I tell the Cashier I measured the box (it has to be 8cm in depth or less to qualify for a small parcel) it was 7.5cm. However she explains it has to fall 'cleanly' through the letter box. She demonstrated this and although it fitted through their dummy letterbox it was far from easily going through. She said I could risk it or pay the extra to class as a Medium Parcel. Not risking it I pay grudgingly pay the extra and tell her whoever wrote the size guide for their parcels needs sacking as they clearly can't measure or need to state the parcel has to pass freely through a letterbox. Basically anything 7.5 cm in depth or over won't qualify, yet their literature states 8cm - again blatant lie.

I ****ING HATE YOU RM (but not as much as Ebay  )

MY VOTE GOES TO..................EBAY

In sheer anger and frustration I typed in '****' in the Ebay search and found this

OMG

use collectplus mate, its a set price and size restriction is very large so no issues

much easier and you can print labels off via ebay

oh and if you want to bypass an email blocker do this

1.myemail
2.at
3.gshit
4.com

and it will get through :)

Ebay is turning into a bloody nightmare - as you stated, the fact they won't allow email info pass in messages is a pain. It's also getting harder to sell stuff, all the hassle and effort of boxing items and sending them and having ebay eat bigger and bigger slices of your final sale figure - and this global shipping programme is bollocks too - the whole thing is a massive pain in the arse.

That is a tough one.

Royal Mail put a parcel delivery of figures in my blue bin which was taken away, and didn't give me a penny in compensation despite the posty admitting he did it.

Ebay's guaranteed refund and many other policies are not in the slightest seller friendly. Had a case of "non arrival" opened against me. Lost the case even though I could prove it had been posted. What ****ing more can a seller do? Lost my money, lost my postage costs, lost my sold item.

Luckily in both cases wasn't a major loss.

I just hate them both, but am forced to use them.

Ebay for

Paul ask the buyer/seller for their mobile number so you can text the email address

EBAY

I think E-bay must be reading my rant on here.

I've just signed into my account on E-bay and on the drop down menu of 'My Ebay' tab I have a £15.00 voucher towards a purchase whenever I use Paypal to pay for the item. :D Got to be used by 30.09.14 and it will be

Check your accounts guy's - they giving those vouchers away again :D

I know exactly what you mean, both are money sucking!!

To overcome the email address issue, I took a photo of my email address and put it as my profile photo so all they have to do is look at your profile to get your email address.

Simon

Royal Mail can be slow, especially when going to the states. However, I hate Ebay the most!

To get around the email address thing, just hit reply to a message from my hotmail account (not the ebay one) and it goes through. I also put "at" instead of @.

Talk about bad luck!

i sold about 20 items one week on evay a few years back when there was a big postal strike, to cut a long story short about 6 out of those 20 took longer than 2 weeks to turn up and in that short space of time ebay gave me warnings about not posting things in time and then all of a sudden i was banned from selling, got into a big discussion with a load of there staff back and for but they couldnt care less.

ive not been able to sell on ebay ever since :(

(ive been told there are ways around this involving creating another account and using other address's and things but i wouldnt know where to begin)
