When should I get nervous?

Ok, so I brought a couple of things off a guy on Rebelscum the other day. He has a high post rating and seems genuine and I'm dead excited about the items. I have never brought from Rebelscum before. I paid for the items via PayPal but not with gift. The items are being shipped from the States.

So these were paid for last Saturday and on Thursday I pm him and ask if they have been posted and what is the tracking number. Not heard a dicky bird.

Now, anyone who knows me (Iain will testify) will tell you I'm an impatient **** but when should I start getting worried? And if I still don't hear anything when should I act and what's the next step?

I'd maybe give him the weekend as he could have been busy I guess... Can you check on rs when he last logged on?

You are impatient!!

One week... I waited a month for my stuff. If it gets stuck at customs then you just have to be patient.

I would wait until Monday and just send him a polite message saying you asked on Thursday about the tracking info as you are impatient and would likt to look on the internet everyday until it arrives!!

I testify to that brother

In all fairness, it is a bit rude not to reply to your post but I wouldn't get too worried yet. Having just gone through the whole Britt thing on RS and had my figures arrive yesterday (2 months after I paid for them) then I would say that you have a long way to go before I think you should start phoning the Samaritans !

Might be worth posting on his/her FS thread incase his inbox if full. I wouldn't worry after a week though and the items can take a month once they've been sent out.

Give the guy a chance Jamie!!

I always look at it that a couple of weeks turn around from deal struck to posting to delivery at your door. It will more than likely be quicker than that. As said the guy is prob busy.

I agree that it's not very courteous of sellers to ignore messages, but equally it's a bit rude to hassle somebody every day, especially under a week since it's been sent. So by all means send him a polite reminder (as mentioned) but after such a short time you really don't have any right to start hounding the guy.

That Britt iisue was a load of shite...........and alot of lies.....glad you got your stuff.

Cheers for the comments fellas. Just to be clear, I understand postage can take along time. I'm just looking for confirmation that the items have been posted. And I'm not getting it. And that makes me twitchy .

I'm in the exact same boat. Waiting for an order from a US seller on RS that I completed on @ 02/April. Have had no contact, not even been told if shipped yet lol

I wonder, same seller? PM me

When I'm buying and I've made a considerable purchase (few hundred ££'s) I expect the seller to ship the item out ASAP, and to reply to any emailed questions etc.

If it's a cheap purchase I just take it in my stride and patiently wait.

I think it's pretty ignorant for the seller not to give a indication of when they will post.

I would also expect a reply to any messages sent.

Having said that they are probably busy - but I would mention the likelyhood of that to the buyer when the deal was first done!
