We get to see TFA a day before the US!

Excellent! I wonder what the reason is? Spiritual home of the OT? Payback for the ridiculous wait in '77?? Extra bit of hype to crank the noise up Stateside???

Whatever the reason it's great news for British SW fans. And it also means I'll get to start my Christmas break a day early :D

Sorry fellas we got you covered by a 9hr head start here in Oz.

You did until they moved the release date forward for the UK....which should give us a 15 hour head start? Or was my "N" grade at maths A-level well earned? :D

 not sure what an "N" grade means in maths but if it equals the "F" I got I think we're on the same page. We have TFA listed as being released on the 17th here as well and seeing we're 9hrs ahead I would've thought that'd mean it's released here 9 hrs earlier? Or was my "F" well deserved?

Whaaaaaat? You guys have got the 17th too? That sucks  Well, you may get to see TFA first but my N grade beats your F grade; means I nearly spelt my name right :D

Maybe they realised that a lot of people will have their work crimbo do on Friday and therefore be too pi$$ed to go the cinema!!

That's it, I'm off to France on the 16th:

I made the mistake of seeing Dances With Wolves whilst on holiday in France, checked that it hadn't been dubbed first of course. However whenever the bloody subtitles for the red Indians came on they were in French, didn't have a clue what was being said for half the movie.

So seeing TFA in France if they've got subtitles for the aliens (like they did with Greedo and Jabba) then beware!

Hmmmm....good point. Maybe go to France, get drunk then go to the cinema. Like all good British tourists my foreign language skills are impeccable when used in conjunction with booze.

I heard this on the radio today and I was surprised by how happy I was despite initially planning to wait a week or so before seeing it

Will loads of Americans fly to Europe for first viewing? If the film is good it will be an iconic day
