Well, what do you want to hear? The case is worth what it's worth to you, no?
Or are you curious if the figures you now have in your collection were a bargain or not, depending on the price the case is probably worth?

I don't understand this. He bought the figures at the prize he stated. Doesn't want the case. Best place to sell. Here. Doesn't know what it's worth. Asks for a valuation.

What's the problem?

Completely agree with Rich here. Dont see an issue?

I can promise the catalogue a good home in my paperwork limelight, see link...

Your magnificent limelight really does need that catalogue ( so great to see all that paperwork in one place, great place to check what went with what!) :D

Hope you bag it (and I also don't see what all the fuss has been about with this case)

Ian

Hi Walkie, I'm afraid the case has been sold to Lucas1977, not sure what he's gonna do with the catalogues or if he even wants them.

Sorry

I don't get this either. This sale seems to have caused a lot of resentment amongst people, initially towards the seller and now towards the buyer. I just don't get it. This is supposed to be a community.

The seller was happy with the price, and the buyer is seemingly happy with what he got back in return. Surely this is a good thing. The buyer wanted the loosies, and I don't think he payed over the odds for them, knowing what i have bought the same figures for on this forum, from some of the most trusted sellers.

He doesn't want the case or catalogs, so is selling them on the forum, giving any member who was keen on those a second chance to get them, another good thing.

So why the bitterness?

Lucas1977 if your reading this and want to sell the catalogs let's talk?

Cheers

I will add that this person is a good standing member here. I gave him a fair valuation and I am glad to hear it went to another member. Quit giving him ****. He paid a price on Ebay he felt was good...sold part of it to a memeber here. Not a ****ing problem.

Amen!

To be fair to Holger, English is his second language so I am not sure he meant to come across quite as direct as it sounds.

It looks like everyone is happy and we can put this whole thing to bed :D

Wo Ho, hold on - I didn't want to express there was a problem. Maybe I was misunderstood when asking him why he would sell the case. I never meant to argue against the buyer, I even said something like 'it's worth what it was worth to you'. Plus I calculated that he made a good purchase by getting the figs for a rough 12 quids, so that was meant more uplifting. Maybe I could have sounded a bit more friendly? Maybe I should have written congrats or something.

But I never meant to have a bad word against the buyer. Sorry for any trouble.

Edit: Thanx Iain, you posted while I was typing. Yes, you expressed it right: I didn't want to sound so direct or harsh.

Ah, I think now I get it, maybe my first post here...

... could sound either like a regular curious question or like a harsh attack on you. If we had spoken eye to eye and heard the tone of my voice, one would never have thought of anything bad. Maybe I should use more emoticons?

Really, I think you made a very good purchase, judging by the pics of the seller, I must say I bought figures in a similar state on here for much more, so here I say Congrats.

Hang on. Not everyone's happy. I didn't get the case. Well I have 3 already. And that Lucas fella did shout first. But still, I'm itching for some vintage, it's been at least a fortnight grrrr

Nope, mate, it's Düsseldorf. Lower Rhine Area, Northrine Westfalia, West Germany.
We have a famous top-fermented (I had to look that up really) beer called Alt.

Oh, and City of FedCon 2014!

Edit: I learned English at school, yes, I added some more on using foreign forums like U77 or RS, but sometimes there are idioms or terms I as a non native speaker do not know or simply misunderstand. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's like a mine field. In the end a small misunderstanding can bust up a whole thread.

Ahh, thought you might have been from the North. Our plattdeutsch speaking friends occasionally have been known to be, shall we say "less jovial" than your average Bavarian

I never miss out on a group hug :D

Wow case arrived today it's a beauty . Mint as the day it was made can only guess on how mint the figures must have been, I just need a sticker set if any one has one for it and the other 2 cases.
The catalogues are not my thing so I might start a new valuation thread.
If any one can help please pm me.
Thanks
