Vectis Museum Sale

£1,050 :(

By my reckoning that's a trimmed down Factors poster, £10 on a good day. Plus the two signatures, and they also seem to be worth around £10... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SDCC-Tim-Greg-Hildebrandt-Hand-Signed-Star-Wars-Promo-Card-Bonus-Brothers-/201623430407?hash=item2ef1b16507:g:YjwAAOSwubRXGBV-

Unless that picture frame is worth a grand... :( Really sad.

Sorry to butt in but think you are mistaken
Compare said item with Factors one
Look at spacing of title for example with Leia s leg and 20 century fox logo placement and overall zoomed in image

No sorry
These have appeared at auction before
They have borders on them and are all one piece
Rare item
Not all posters are quads

Damascus, you've seen these before? Do you have any link to another - i'd be interested to see. It's not listed in the Sansweet / Vilmur Poster book, nor is it at starwarsmovieposter.com - both are very thorough.

I know that the Factors poster was made by Pace International. Factors was sold in the US - could this one be the equivalent that was sold in UK stores (Pace were actually UK based). In other words, it's a shop sold poster rather than a theatrical?

Also true that not all posters are quads, but the smaller UK format is the double crown, which is a standard 20" x 30" to fit two side by side in a quad frame. This Vectis one is 18" x 25", so its not a double crown.

I managed to get the last lot lot of the day 12 back b palitoy c-3po for 660 plus commission so I think about 810 in total pretty happy with the price but a bit cheaper would off been nice. Never bothered with vectis before and not sure iam that fussed with it didn't seem hardly any bargains and most stuff went for ridiculous prices.

How did I miss this 45b Palitoy ESB Jawa!!

I actually looking at it last night thinking 45 back Palitoy I think I have 2 but the b and c never click!! :D

Anyone on here bought it?

UK cinema posters would be either quad or double crown as Bonsai_Tree_Ent says. That's the only point I was making that I can't imagine this was from a cinema. The Vectis poster has been cropped compared to the Factors poster. There's no provenance on this and the signatures are independent to the poster so if it is 'one-of-a-kind' how can it be proved ? Would be great to see further evidence though.

Personally have only ever seen 3 at auction houses in last 10 or so years
A cinema chain owner from Nottingham told me a few years ago about how it was initially issued to him at film release but was then told to discard as new version being used i.e. Chantrell's
At the time he was getting rid of what he had amassed all rom the seventies and early eighties
He had one he had kept back and that went to auction
Thats as much as I know but have no reason to believe not so as same fate happend to Hildebrandt quads but obviously some still out there maybe more because of size
Think these are obscure and forgotten and not referenced anywhere as offically didn't happen
Anyone else know anymore

Has anybody had their invoice through yet? Usually arrives within 24 hours. Phoned up and the incredibly unhelpful person who answered said I can't pay until I have the invoice.

My invoice disappeared into the ether last time and had to chase it after a week - I then got tow to make up for it :)

I won an item on Tuesday, requested the invoice and it was sent on Wednesday morning!!

I didn't get an invoice but did get an email telling me payment had been taken. This was about 2 hours after the auction finished so they didn't muck about.

Thanks, I'll give them a call then and hopefully get through to somebody a bit more helpful.

Ask for the accounts department, and they should be able to help you. I hardly ever wait for my invoice, just give my name, item number and a little piece of my soul (ok, card number).

Hi first time buying from vectis can you trust them to package items up careful and protect them for postage this might be a daft question but I have too nice MOCS and would rather collect if there's going to be a high risk of them getting damaged even though it's quite a drive.

The last two MOCs I won from them were well packed, in star cases which were then inside another box so they should be fine through the post. Not 100% guarantee mind though.
