Vectis 26th & 27th May

****ing hell, handling those card backs like a ****ing brickie there!

I've put a couple of bids on this and have been out bid. It'll go for silly money I think to some ****ing u-grading twat.

I was going to message Vectis about the footers, as they are probably at the bottom of the box and they may not know what they are - they could've even chucked them!

Well that explains why there are no Jawa's in the 12 back sales then

If I was rich and had enough money to not care about it, I'd send the whole lot of surviving MOC's for grading and see what came back. Would be funny to see how they tried to case up back to back cards and they'd probably all get AFA 5's

Poor rep lost out on >£10k auction with one leak. Good thing the whole garage roof didn't come down ...

A lot of class and professionalism shown by seemingly everybody's favourite star wars auction house again:

So whoever bought the boxes, Vectis are having a good old laugh at you.

Lot 5353 clearly advertised as 4 EMPTY Palitoy boxes. I'm sure Vectis are pissing themselves.

Lazy journalism and a lack of research from those who are slamming Vectis online for delivering items as advertised.

LOT::5353

Beeches Toy Shop

Palitoy Star Wars empty trade cartons x 4. To include MLC-3 One Man Sail Skiff Vehicle, INT-4, Vehicle Maintenance Energiser. All have Palitoy labels. Conditions are mainly Fair. (4)

The title is sensationalist but the actual article is fine IMO. Still can't believe that as recently as 2009 (when this forum was pretty established) all this stuff was just sitting there! I blame all you Welsh guys for not telling us

The pigeon poo was a freebie!

What I found condescending about the article was the quote from John Cathrall of vectis "They used to have Star Wars (toys) in them so people wanted them. But they were absolutely awful."

I read that as that in thier opinion these boxes were rubbish and covered in birdshit but they still found someone to pay £200 for them because they had Star Wars toys in them. We are quick to jump on the "it says Star Wars so it must be valuable" ebayers. i don't see a difference in attitude when I read quotes like that.

I wasn't disputing the accuracy of the lot, nor the desirability of the pieces. Only the ignorance of the auction house.

I'm off to Vectis again (probably Friday early) and will be bringing items with me to London if anyone wants to collect from me when I'm down there Friday evening/Sat.

Hey Richard I'm not in London but would there be any chance of you picking up a lot I won and posting it me and I can sort you the P & P through Paypal?

Not that I don't trust Vectis to package correctly or anything but I hear it's bit of a long arsed wait!?...

I won Leia Hoth, Looks like I'm starting a focus or something! :D

Some reasonable prices today, didn't win anything but wasn't a million miles away on a few.

I won two items and was pleased. Many of the boxed vehicles in particular went below what I expected.

Mr Bob A Feet - you need to pay for the item and then let Vectis know that Richard Hutchinson will be collecting on Friday morning. The earliest I can post will be Monday I'm afraid but it'll beat the 3 week minimum wait from Vectis. :D
You'll need to send me your name or I won't be able to take it.

Thought the Yak and Tri Logo yoda were good buys in current market conditions

Cheers Richard, I'll just try to work out how to pay them! and give them a call and I'll send you my details and we can sort out what I owe you with the P & P whenever you're ready and I'll be forever in your debt! :D

Prices were indeed reasonable on the whole and lucky I didn't get carried away!

Yeah two of the ones I put bids on, the Yak had a cracked bubble so with the autograph as well it was more than I wanted to pay, but it just proves all those idiots wrong that think it's impossible to find a trilogo Yak for under a grand (yes I'm talking about Facebook people as usual  )

Managed to snag a SW Greedo 21B for 180 (probably another 40ish notes on top)

Happy with that.

Tomorrow will be mental looking forward it.

I forgot there was an auction today, the Trilogo's seem to be more sensible price wise. If I had remembered I might of stood a chance.
