Vectis 25-6-2015

I still don't trust there system ,in my opinion it seems to run right up to the highest bid left online ,ie if you bid 2500 your not gonna get it for 2200 ! Your gonna pay your top offer ,I personely believe the computer automatically does this ,it's just my opinion ,I could be out of line but that's how it seems to me ,auction houses across the world have been caught doing this ,I'm not saying vectis have done anything wrong but it's food for thought !!

I can confirm that I've bid on stuff using their online system and I've won the lots for less than my maximum bids.

I once bid on a piece on Vectis around 2 years ago, I put on a strong bid of £500 two wks b4 the actual auction. When the item opened it opened at £500 so I naturally thought hmmmm!!!
Anyway it turned out someone else slapped a bid of £500 on the piece a couple of days b4 the auction and because I put my bid in first I won it!
I have seen/heard nothing to cause concern regarding Vectis's integrity.

My £1800 didn't get he the 12 back luke but £300 + buys you bubble bath WTF

I hold my hands upto to buying these :) the store display box as well as the unused full bubble bath
is very hard to get. its only one of 2 sets ive seen in 30 years of collecting! along with the
fire star badge header probably the rarest star wars items in the auction! As far as getting
a palitoy 12 back luke just hang on vectics will defo have a load more coming up

Is there any way to see the prices without using their website.

Hi,

I run http://www.starwarstracker.com and onboard Vectis auction prices regularly. In addition to eBay prices, the system will allow you to see Vectis auction prices going back several years. As such, you can do your own data mining and find out all kinds of information/price trends on items.

I'll be adding this auction from the 25th over the coming days.

Cheers, Jared.

I was considering the bubble bath store display but I knew you'd be going for that Mark and I didn't want to get in to a bidding war!

Now if it'd been the soap...

to be fair I went over my original £££ heat of the moment from me
I do have the soap display with original shipping carton so should look good :)

Congrats on getting that bubble bath lot, was going to bid also but went for something else instead. I just love the art on that bubble bath display, so Star Wars and retro. Does bubble bath go 'off' after 37 years I wonder? Not that you're going to be using it of course.

hope not I have the addis store display full as well lol

Can I just confirm that the price the lots went for that you can see on the site are still to have the 24% added on?

Yes, the listed prices are the hammer price, only the buyer gets to see the final invoiced cost, but adding the 24% will get you to that number

Nice one. Thought some of the prices were quite reasonable considering recent auctions, but then if there's still 24% more to go to, then not so much.

Anyone know how much the boxed Glasslite X-Wing sold for at the last vectis auction?

thanks
