YES I DID AND IT WAS VERY ANNOYING. Missed out on two items I really wanted - would have won them but bids were not registered in time or somthing. You would have thought they would have properly checked their bidding software before a big auction grrrrrrrrrr

It's hard to take, and I get annoyed too when I forget to bid on an Ebay item that i'd been watching, but you can never tell if you would actually have won them. Your bid might have just pushed the winner up even higher and made them spend more money.

Whatever the item you missed out on was, it will likely come round again - maybe even in better condition and better price!

Yes you are right dude really. I bid higher than the winning bids but as you say it could have just pushed the price higher. Cheers for the positive comment - got some spare money now and may drop on something better :D

I struggled to get £100 for my 12 back Palitoy Sand People in 2007

Han Hoth has gone from £300 to £1,000 and down to £700 in about the same time. Another 10 years he might be back to £300 :D

Damn LXW 20 backs are going in the opposite direction, go figure!

This is correct! I was just charged £1054 for the rebel soldier. They were very fast to take payment this time.

I did actually notice that a couple of prices have changed since the auctions closed so maybe internet bidders who have pulled out?

Then does that mean I can change my mind ? If I feel it's been dumped on me ? But I'm happy with the bits

Esb luke farm boy
Boxed esb millennium falcon
Damaged afa80 die cast millennium falcon
And the job lot of palitoy 12 back cards

Just have to bite the bullet from the mrs

Hmmmmm, weird you should say that Edd cause I was watching the Han Hoth 30a and I could have sworn I saw it going over £800 but it ended lower than that!

As said the IT is a joke, just logged on to try a live bid & I can't even get on to the auction, what a farce, **** em, not even going to bother now as the prices are stupid as are the fee's, hell some of the woolies 8 packs have Kenner baggies with them FFS, they only came with either lose or palitoy baggies, but the seller assures them the items are correct for the packs as they came - pull the other one!

Interesting Frank. I have three 8 packs, 2 of which are opened and one sealed and im sure some contain Kenner baggies?? Has it been proven that the Kenner baggies are not found in them? Ill fetch mine out of the loft at the weekend.

Lee

Its not proven Lee, but I have never found a legit pack with Kenner examples mate & highly doubt Palitoy would have had any Kenner baggies to offload at the end, though it is feasible, remember Billy Boy fakes some of these & I got stung from him when I started with a Kenner issue multi pack, all came with palitoy baggies  oh the benefits of understanding

I hadn't done Vectis before , don't think it's great, agree it's really rubbish you can't see the highest bid pre auction and really difficult to navigate back to lots to then rebid.

I got the 12 back Palitoy Stormtrooper. No idea what the prices should be for it- but thought it looked a great item so had prebid. Am really excited to see it.

Also it was me that paid crazy money for the ROTJ 65 Luke Bespin (220 plus fees), but I really wanted it and am building a Luke Bespin focus by stealth without realising it. Still looking for the Palitoy 41 is it? If anybody has one and a trilogo.

Also got an ROTJ Han death star corridor and bespin.

Hope I shouldn't be worried about them sending it out as can't pick up in person.

Vectis said they have a Palitoy sale in May from exfactory workers who have kept items, so that could be interesting!

The May Palitoy items? What's in there? Really hoping multiple Palitoy 12 backs so that they go relatively cheaply. Can you imagine. That would be amazing.

Wow. Boxes of Luke and Leia 12 backs!! That's massive. That's unbelievable. Probably made an error getting the Stormtrooper then this could be the once in a lifetime to get the likes of Luke and Leia for the average man at a decent price. Wow, that's a bigger find than Carter digging up Tut. I'm stunned.

I do wonder how much having multiples of each will lower the price of these figures. Certainly whether it would bring it down enough for people who don't want to spend vast amounts on them.

Decent Luke's are hitting £4k+ compared to around £2k not that many years ago. There are far more of them now available than there were 10/15 years ago. Having multiples of things do not always equate to a massive drop if desire for them has increased.

That said I think that a lot of the current prices is hype fuelled, so with many more appearing in a short space of time the hype may work in the opposite way and help the price drop.

And of course basic market economics would cause a drop as long as availability matches demand
