UPDATED 27/1/16: Luke Farmboy COO Reference Guide

Brown Hair, No COO variant

Picked up a loose Brown Haired figure recently. Wasn't sure of the COO until I had it in hand. Turned out to be a No COO variant. I thought it looked slightly different from the light brown hair figure i already had.

Here's the two figures side by side
UKG 85 figure and recent loose purchase

When I examined the leg markings i was delighted to see that there are a couple of slight diffences between the two. The UKG figure has the Hong Kong COO erased, however you can still make out the "Hon" of the COO. The latest figure has the COO completely erased/melted.

Secondly, the i at the end of the GMFGI and the 1 of the 1977 are printed diffently on the two figures. The '1' on the UKG figure is slightly raised above the 'i' in the GMFGI
Heres a close up, Latest pick up is on the left. UKG graded figure is on the right.

While probably not a variant per se, it's always nice to find a small difference when focusing on the one figure. :D

EDIT: Glad to see these are documented as COO IV 2a and 2b on Wolffs Guide 3.0

2 Line Hong Kong figure, Brown eyes.

I believe that this may be a hard figure to find. All of my other 2 Line Hong Kong Figures have Black eyes. It came with a'J' lettered saber. I believe this is definitely an early release figure.

Here's a close up of the figure compared to another 2 Line Hong Kong Black eye figure.

It definitely looks different to me? Hopefully I'm not imagining it :D
Would love to hear any one else's opinion. Thanks

Thanks again for your kind words Lars. I'm happy enough that I have all the COO markings shown on Wolffs guide except the PBP variant

Wow another update jeff  I understand now why there is not that many farmer luke on ebay, you buy them all

Great update and I really love your work. Hope you find the PBP coo and some new coo that many of us do not know about :D

  I probably would buy them all if I had the cash

I will be updating the 3 Line Hong Kong Figures tonight as I say. My latest addition has a different leg marking to my UKG graded Brown eyes one :D

Interesting discovery with the leg markings on these 8)

3 Line Hong Kong Figures

Today I picked up a new 3 Line Hong Kong, Brown eyed figure. It came with a "KK" lettered saber. It has leg markings that I had only seen before on Black eyes paint application figures.

I recently purchased a Black eyes figure that appeared to have Brown eyed leg markings. I thought this was odd at the time but it appears now that both Brown and Black eye paint figures came with both 3 line Hong Kong leg markings....ie Wolffs Guide COO I.1a and 1b

Here's a shot of my four 3 Line figures.

I know what you mean, I would also buy a lot more if I had the cash

Love your new update again 8)

Maybe we well soon see your own farmer luke coo guide with big pictures of those coo

So what will be the next items you hunt, double telescoping farmer luke saber variants ? :D

Having been put onto the idea by Lars, I decided to put together a comprehensive photo guide of all the leg markings on the figures I have collected. I believe I am still missing a number of variants. One Taiwan coo leg marking, the PBP Luke and another Mecanno variant. I have a second "Glasslite" Luke Farmboy figure on the way with the 'Date up' leg markings.

I have put together a collection of 25 'different' Luke Farmboy figures to date. Whilst not all the COO leg markings are different I have included most of them here for the purpose of showing the variety of leg colours out there. The likes of the 2 Line Hong Kong Figures and the Taiwan coo figures are a good examples of this.

Please enjoy the small guide on the next page.

Thanks
Jeff

Dublinjeffs Luke Farmboy COO Leg Markings Guide

2 Line, Hong Kong COO figure

I have 11 two line, Hong Kong COO figures to date

I have 7 Blonde hair figures. 6 have Black Eyes and 1 has Brown eyes.
I have 2 light Brown Hair figures. Two Different paint applications and
I have 2 Dark brown hair figures. Two Different Leg stamps.

All figures come with either a Small or large Hong Kong COO stamp. In my experience the Small stamp appears on the darker legged figures. The exception to this would be the Brown eyed figure which has a Large Hong Kong COO stamp with darker legs. (See Photo 2)

The Blonde hair figures have a number of different leg colours as seen here..

1. Blonde Hair Figures

2. Light Brown Hair figure and Blonde hair/Brown Eyes Figure
I have 2 Light Brown Hair, Hong Kong figures. They both have the same leg stamp, shown here on the left. They have different skin paint applications.

The second figure shown here is the 2 line Hong Kong figure with Brown eyes. I believe that this is a hard to find figure.

3. Dark Brown Hair figures

I have two of these figures. Two different leg stamps. One is slightly 'Rougher' than the other.

3 Line, Hong Kong COO figure:

I currently have four of these figures. Two Brown eyes and two Black eyes figures. This figure comes with two COO stamps. The major difference between the two is the placement of the'1977' date stamp on the middle line. Both stamps feature on both figures. (Photo 2)

Glasslite and Meccano figures:
